New reel is up! I'm just thankful I get to help tell stories for a living. Give me challenges, give me new perspective, give me collaboration. Love being a cinematographer.

Have you seen those “Monumental Opportunity” commercials? The ones trying to convince everyone how Ted Leonsis’ new arena in Virginia is great for everyone…
Well, those commercials inspired this column: washingtonpost.com/sports/20…
I'm also on Bluesky now? Who knows if any of these will stick. bsky.app/profile/philjack.bs…

Have you completed the People’s Budget survey?
Let’s be clear about where we want our tax dollars to go. Do you want to continue to spend $4 billion on LAPD or invest more deeply in housing, mental health, community-based safety, and good jobs?

Make no mistake: Moore is being FORCED OUT.
There is no way he’s only give 1.5 month notice and no replacement in line unless he’s being forced out.
He’s fired.

BREAKING: @LAPDChiefMoore says he's made mistakes and missteps but stands by the work he's done over the past 5.5 years. He will step down at the end of next month.

I’m here at La Cienaga Park in Beverly Hills where @BLMLA is leading a protest in solidarity with Palestine. About 1,500 people have gathered in the park. Across the street, about 40 people are gathered in support of Israel.

Still alive. My small world is doing well even if the bigger world is still is being drained and destroyed by capitalism and imperialism 😮💨 Trying to bottle the good feelings from my last DP job and recent travels to get through these crazy times. Thankful for community.

Jharrel Jerome is an incredible and beautiful actor, and Boots Riley is a massively perceptive, sensitive, and hilarious filmmaker.
That means you really need to see "I'm a Virgo".
TV Guide has Jharrel Jerome's performance in I'm A Virgo on their list of the Best Performances of 2023!!!
"It's a daunting balancing act, and the ideal showcase for an actor who remains frustratingly under the radar"
