I’ve stayed quiet on @vercel “drama” for the last few years, and I’ve supported Vercel with the utmost confidence through a lot of ups and downs in their company’s growth. However, it’s finally time I share something I’ve found deeply concerning from *my perspective* and it’s that there is a whole upcoming generation of young women who won’t be able to decide whether to deploy on Vercel or Netlify or your other favorite platform because they simply won’t be exposed to Computer Science education or opportunities in tech! But we can change that! 🎉 If you’ve read this far please consider donating to Code/Art to support creative coding programs for girls. They’ve reached 8,000 girls to date with the goal to continue increasing their reach — truly every dollar helps! givemiamiday.org/story/Prbry… ❤️$25 = 1 STEAM kit 🧡$50 = hands-on workshop materials 💛$100 = 1 coding camp scholarship 💚$500 = a year of coding lessons for 1 girl 💙$1,000 = an introduction to coding for 50 girls 💜$2,500 = training for 10 K-12 teachers to lead Code/Art lessons to 1,000+ students If you’re unable to donate, RT’s are greatly appreciated to help get our message out — but please don’t spoil the twist here — I’m trying a new fundraising strategy with the hopes of wielding the power of the algorithm for a good cause 🙏
