🚨HORRIBLE: An entire population in Gaza is being left to face freezing rain, flooded tents, and endless misery, all because the Israeli army destroyed their homes, prevented their reconstruction, and blocked the entry of essential equipment and materials needed to rebuild them.

A year into a "ceasefire" nobody should be living in makeshift tents. This isn't a humanitarian crisis, it is an impunity crisis.
🚨HORRIBLE: Around 70,000 displacement tents across Gaza have been flooded, leaving thousands of families exposed to the harsh elements.
Floodwaters have also damaged shops, cafés, streets, and already-damaged buildings sheltering displaced families, compounding the suffering caused by Israel’s genocidal war.

I think Muslims need to hear this:
Prophet Muhammad dressed like the people of his time and culture. He was an Arab living in Arabia, so naturally, he wore the clothes common to his society.
He didn't invent Arab clothing, and wearing an Arab robe, turban or head covering doesn't automatically make someone more Islamic.
If Prophet Muhammad had been born in Nigeria, India or China, he would naturally have grown up wearing the clothes of his society.
Islam has guidelines on modesty, but it does not require every Muslim to dress like an Arab.
You don't have to abandon your culture to practise Islam.
Islam is a religion, not an Arab dress code. Stop confusing the two.

I have introduced a bill to introduce compulsory labelling of halal and kosher meat.
Consumers have a right to know what they are eating. Yet every day people are consuming halal and kosher meat without knowing it - that’s meat where the animal has its throat slit and often is not stunned before slaughter.
At its heart, this is a straightforward proposal built on consumer choice, animal welfare and transparency. It is not about banning halal or kosher meat but about the compulsory labelling of it, which is currently only voluntary, so as to ensure consumers know what they are buying.
What began as a limited religious exemption has become an increasingly significant part of meat production.

This country has fallen so far. Great western railway was signed off by parliament 1835 and was built by 1841.
Done by blokes with shovels, and a guy using pen and paper.
We've advanced machinery and computers and we still can't get it done at a reasonable pace. Embarrassing

That’s disgraceful! When did we first start talking about HS2? - 2010? Government go-ahead in 2012, 31 years & the highest cost of any high speed rail project in the world , Its embarrassing that a country which lead the world in engineering has fallen so far.

UK ILR update
An SNP MP has written a strong letter to the home office opposing the plan to double the wait for indefinite leave to remain from 5 to 10 years.
He's angry and said people have planned their jobs, homes and families around the original 5 year route.
Other big charities are also fighting it, including Mencap, Barnardo's, Praxis and the Refugee Council. They're all pushing back against the changes.
He's asking for proper protection for everyone already on a settlement path.
