By far the most humiliating method of American trick or treating has got to be the shit my parents made me do as a kid: drive between each house and get in and out of the car at every stop while every other kid in town walked normally

I am looking forward to seeing all the workshops y'all will create about the things you are passionate about. The ones you have been mentioning up & down as better workshops for women. Let Mercy Masika do what was in her heart. You actualise what is in yours. Put in the work.

men took the weakest, most fragile part of the human body (their balls) and made it a symbol of strength, courage and heroism but if a woman says β€œhey i actually like my body too!!”, everyone starts seething
"Don't romanticize the uterus" I think it's okay to romanticize the only portal of human life on planet. You'll never see men minimizing or talking down on what their bodies are capable of but women are expected to Why did I just see a post calling the uterus gross and stinky.

Dr. Salina Jelimo Wekesa has sparked an interesting conversation about infidelity in marriage. She argues that when men cheat, society often brushes it off but when women do the same, the backlash is much harsher. The crowd’s laughter and nodding suggest that many relate to her observation. Her advice to married women? Don’t limit intimacy to nighttime, keep the spark alive even during the day to help reduce the temptation to cheat. But here’s the big question: Can satisfying your partner sexually really prevent cheating or is faithfulness a matter of character and personal choice? What’s your take?

A lot of these arguments can be solved by adding β€œfor me personally”

Funniest thing I’ve heard of late is that babe who said she understands keeping a pet dog in an apartment is unfair so she walks it on the treadmill 🀣

I pulled her aside after everyone left Asked why she didn’t at least mention I’d built the deck She said she added her own spin and it wasn’t that deep Then she lowered her voice Said if I brought it up to him I’d just look jealous Told me she was trying to make a good impression and I should understand that

If the camera type wasn’t mentioned in the rules, disqualifying her afterward sounds unfair. Judge the photograph by its creativity and quality, not by the price of the equipment used to capture it.

of entries, and the theme was β€œEveryday Life.” Her photograph showed an exhausted bus driver sitting alone at the end of his shift, his forehead resting against the steering wheel. The evening light fell across his face, and his uniform was still damp from the rain. The judges gave it the highest score. But when they learned she'd taken it with her phone, they disqualified her and awarded the prize to the runner-up. She appealed, pointing out that the published rules required original photographs but said nothing about camera equipment. The organisers replied that the competition was intended for serious photographers. One of the other finalists challenged them publicly. β€œAre we judging the photograph or the price of the equipment?” The organisers insisted that professional standards mattered. Critics countered that expensive cameras didn't automatically make someone a better photographer. Eventually, the organisers reinstated her entry and awarded her the prize. But the runner-up refused to attend the ceremony, saying the judges had embarrassed him by changing their decision after public pressure.

A woman was disqualified from a photography contest because her winning picture was taken on a phone. The judges said it wasn't professional photography. Then a contestant asked why the rules never mentioned what kind of camera people had to use. The competition had attracted hundreds

My mother has always been one of the most stylish women I know. She even had a machine she made some clothes with. One of the things the stroke robbed her of for a long time was her style. The clothes were still there but they were made for a person who has two functioning hands.

This year she has been able to get into a lot of her old outfits. To see her wearing them reminds me that everything is possible. She is back to being one of the smartest dressed people I know. That make me tear up because I know how much courage it has taken for her to get here.

This is just an encouragement to those people taking care of elderly parents & having to see them go from being the strongest person you know to being somebody who needs care especially stroke patients. Be encouraged that things do change. Celebrate every small win.
