Vice President JD Vance announces the suspension of the PERM Program for Microsoft: "Thanks to an ongoing investigation, we have decided to suspend the PERM program for Microsoft, which means they will no longer be able to take those H-1Bs and apply for permanent resident status within the United States of America. Now our message to Microsoft and to any other foreign or domestic corporation is quite simple. We obviously want you to thrive in the United States of America. We want people to invest in the United States of America, particularly the American technology sector. We’re the biggest boosters of your industry. We want you to continue to grow and to employ a lot of people, but we want you to employ American workers. And so our message to Microsoft is, you’re great American company, but you’ve got to hire great American workers. You cannot lay off American workers and then replace them with foreign indentured servants."

Any complex signal hides a secret symphony waiting to be unmixed. The Fourier Transform, ĝ(f) = ∫ g(t) e⁻²ᵖⁱⁱᶠᵗ dt, acts as a mathematical prism. It translates a noisy wave moving through time into a clean spectrum of frequencies, revealing the fundamental notes that build our reality.

Imagine taking two distant places in the universe and folding the geometry between them until they meet. That is the basic idea behind a wormhole. Einstein and Rosen found a mathematical bridge between two regions of spacetime in 1935. Decades later, Morris and Thorne asked what a wormhole would look like if its throat could actually remain open. The strange part is that nothing is being “tunneled through” ordinary space. The geometry itself is doing the shortcut.

Pixels are just numbers until geometry gives them sight. A grid of raw intensity values passes through sliding filters, extracting subtle edges and textures layer by layer. Through convolution, non-linearity, and spatial reduction, spatial chaos resolves into abstract feature maps. From millions of isolated numbers, a singular prediction emerges.

Coordinates label a place, but they do not tell us how far apart places are. One degree of longitude spans about 111 km at Earth’s equator and much less near the poles. The metric supplies the local measuring rule, converting coordinate changes into distances and angles. It lets us describe a curved surface’s geometry without viewing it from outside.

A white dwarf can resist gravity even after fusion stops. Crowded electrons must occupy different quantum states, creating pressure that persists as the star cools. But this support has a limit. Near 1.4 solar masses, an ideal nonrotating white dwarf cannot balance gravity with electron degeneracy pressure alone.

Planck time points to a gap in our understanding of the earliest universe. At roughly 10⁻⁴³ seconds, quantum effects on spacetime are expected to matter, so general relativity alone is insufficient.

Covariance Matrix ✍️ When a number of variables are measured at the same time for example, height and weight, or temperature and pressure, or the various pixel values in an image the key question is not merely how much each variable varies by itself but how they vary in relation to one another. The covariance matrix is the full mathematical solution to this question and it reveals the geometric structure that lies hidden within any data set. Fill

Sampling faster than the Nyquist rate does not expand signal bandwidth. Instead, it spreads quantization noise across a wider frequency band, allowing digital filters to strip away the excess static. Each doubling of the sampling rate buys clarity - trading speed for resolution.

An electric dipole p(t) = p₀ sin(ωt) ẑ oscillating at a point radiates a field that, far away, falls off only as 1/r. Its radiation term is E = (μ₀/4π) p̈(t − r/c) sin θ / r along θ̂, with B = r̂ × E / c along φ̂, so E, B and the direction of travel r̂ are mutually perpendicular. The intensity goes as sin²θ / r²: zero along the axis, strongest at the equator. Every sphere around the source carries the same mean power, p₀²ω⁴ / (12πε₀c³).

🔥 @SecScottBessent puts AI labs demanding government protection on NOTICE: “You cannot say, ‘We absolve you of responsibility, and the government’s gonna take responsibility.’” “These labs need to take responsibility for themselves. They can slow down any time they want to.”

A = UΣVᵀ Every real matrix (square or rectangular, full-rank or singular) factors into a pair of orthogonal matrices flanking a rectangular diagonal of nonnegative singular values. The left and right singular vectors rotate the domain and codomain so that the linear map becomes a pure stretch along aligned axes; the singular values themselves are those stretches. When the values decay rapidly the map is essentially low-dimensional, and the partial sum formed by the first k terms is the nearest rank-k matrix in every unitarily invariant norm. Beltrami obtained the square case in 1873, Jordan independently a year later. One factorization therefore exposes geometry, numerical rank, and the most economical compressions of the data the matrix represents.

Thanks to President Trump’s leadership on AI: — a million new jobs have been created around the AI buildout; — 401(k)s are up ~12% this year as AI capex and productivity lift the market; — America is re-industrializing, including the first large private investments in power generation and the grid in a generation; — In rural Richland Parish, Louisiana, teachers just received $50,000 bonuses from data-center tax revenue. Because the media portrays AI only as a menace, people tell pollsters they “don’t like AI.” Their behavior says otherwise. AI products are the fastest-adopted technology in history — faster than the internet or the iPhone. People like the tools, the jobs, and the tax base. President Trump understands the media hoax cycle better than anyone else. That is why he is refusing the “pause” that Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are demanding. A pause would not make America safer. It would hand the frontier to China. That would be a disaster for the American economy and for national security.

This historic deal is a huge win for the United States and the American people. Thanks to President Trump’s vision and leadership, this historic agreement permanently guarantees U.S. security interests in the Arctic at zero cost to the U.S. taxpayer. Greenland will forever be part of the strategic defense area of North America and exclude any adversary from it and the surrounding area. This deal permanently and completely addresses our national security concerns in Greenland.
BREAKING NEWS: I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns. There will be NO COST to the United States! At my direction, we worked with representatives of Denmark and Greenland to guarantee that the United States will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland, and the United States of America. Additionally, from now on, no U.S. adversary can EVER have a base in Greenland, have a military presence in Greenland, or make sensitive investments in Greenland, without our express written approval. For over 100 years, Presidents have known the strategic importance of Greenland, but NONE of them were able to do anything about it. I am proud to be the President that permanently and conclusively addressed this very important situation. This is an “Infinite Life” Agreement, there is no end! We are very honored and proud of what has just taken place, and everything agreed to today will be cherished by the American People. We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many. We will work with the people of Greenland in its development and construction. This solution is a great one for the United States of America, Denmark, Greenland, and all of our Allies. We look forward to working with the wonderful people of Denmark and Greenland toward a magnificent future with respect to this large, and highly strategic, parcel of land. We will be very protective of it! This is a dream come true for the United States of America, one that is very important, historic, and special. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Radioactive decay occurs in three main ways: 1. Alpha decay The nucleus emits an alpha particle containing 2 protons and 2 neutrons. Atomic number decreases by 2 and mass number by 4. 2. Beta decay In β⁻ decay, a neutron changes into a proton, emitting an electron and an antineutrino. The mass number stays unchanged, while atomic number increases by 1. 3. Gamma decay An excited nucleus releases excess energy as a gamma photon. Its atomic and mass numbers remain unchanged. These three modes differ in what the nucleus emits and how the nucleus itself changes.
