It's october 24th, three months after The Odyssey released. IMAX Cinema in Brussels is still sold out. Haven't seen a demand like this ever!

We just stopped another SaaS contract where we were spending ~$3.6k to $5k per year. New tool we built internally is 10x better than the SaaS tool and has every feature we need. We also removeed a bunch of features we never needed. Time to build!

Everytime I talk to @TwBalchen, CEO of Ryde Technology, I try to uncover the secret behin RYDE's success - I tried again this time and failed 😅 For anyone questioning the viability of shared micromobility business, you have to study RYDE. They've been profitable from the start and grew from €10m revenue in 2021 to €75.5m last year. For sceptics questioning the growth potential, RYDE grew ~60% just in 2025. In a year when they had this phenominal growth, their EBIT grew as well - reported ~23% EBIT margin for 2025. All this, without expanding beyond Nordics. With recent expansion to Germany, I'm sure there is much more growth to be seen. Very few companies in this space returned capital to investors, but RYDE had a liquidity event this year. Their largest investor Equip Capital recently completed a transaction with @GoldmanSachs as the lead investor in a new vehicle, delivering returns to investors. Person behind all this incredible results is Tobias and I had the pleasure to sit down with him at Micromobility Europe 2026 in Berlin to learn more about the business and where RYDE wants to be. Tobias is clear that in 5yrs, he want RYDE to be the top operator in Europe. If you are building anything in shared micromobility, you definitely should listen to this chat. Tobias - Always a pleasure talking to you and I hope someday, I'll crack the code 😅 #micromobility #transportation #RYDE #MME26

Brussels is banning e-scooters in some parts of the city because of crime. This is both private and shared scooters When is the last time we heard about cars or other modes banned because of crime? e-scooters seem to be an easy target. If crime is the real worry, restrict illegal high speed e-scooters. Banning e-scooters completely is insane. For many commuters, private e-scooters are the cheapest to buy. Another idea - remove the ban on shared e-scooters. They can travel only upto 20km/hr, accelerate slow and GPS tracked. I cant imagine criminals using slow, tracked vehicles to commit any crime. Brussels is a great city and the world is watching. Let's take decisions that are smart - this one is definitely not. brusselstimes.com/brussels/2…

I think I'll order one just to see what it is! 😅 One more tracking device.

MCP is a curse for SaaS tools. Makes it much more easier for AI tools to help migrate away.

Most SaaS founders underestimate what's about to happen. Most companies will build their own custom tools, tailored to their needs. More than the cost savings, you can now build a lean system and add/change features as you want in minutes without having to wait for months. Just in the last one week, we stopped two services saving few thousands and the current system we built is much more agile and built to our exact needs. Yes, they don't have any bells and whistles, but who cares! Over the next 6 months, our goal is to replace every such annoying system, with our own tool. Expected savings, ~$35k. That's a bunch of SaaS companies losing $35k in revenue.
He seems so incredibly triggered by @marclou 😂 Living rent free in his head for a week now If he didn't see it as a threat, he wouldn't even react and definitely not try to ridicule Marc (Which will have the exact opposite effect that he hopes) So yes he sees Marc as a threat!

First part of this thesis seems to be working. We don’t complain about the new UI
Apple's current UI design is a big psychology play, something that's a first on this scale for humans. Apple went from crisp UI to a blurry, glass effect UI with iOS26 What this does is, makes our brain work a little more to comprehend info ebsco.com/research-starters/…

Even the fastest growing companies in Europe can’t escape the Europe bashing temptation. This is getting out of hand rn Btw.. you can build a 0-$100m run rate business in Europe in 6 months if you want to.
POV building a startup in Europe: We just crossed a $100m revenue run rate 6 months after launch, which makes us one of the fastest companies ever to get there. Today a real estate agent still asked us for proof of creditworthiness to rent an office, because we’ve only been around for a year and have "no history of being solvent".

Who is stopping Mistral? 🤔
Europe must "Build or surrender" according to Mistral AI CEO Mensch. And calls for Europe to break with the pessimism, because if Europe doesn't start building its own technological stack, it could be the end of our societies as we know it. We agree, Europe can only live if we take control into our own hands. If others control critical areas, our hands will be tied, and Europe will cease to exist, because it will always need to cave into the demands of others. At whatever cost we must now build our own technologies, whether it is AI models, infrastructure, consumer electronics, or electric cars, we must scale and make sure Europe is not dependent. Trade is a great tool, but it should never again be a way to control Europe.

Super happy to announce that @limebike is exhibiting at Micromobility America 2026 in San Francisco. Market was tough for shared micromobility operators and recovery was slow in the US compared to Europe. It is a massive signal that the entire industry is showing up again to support each other. What's more? Lime is also hosting our official afterpart at their HQ in San Francisco. Come join us and support the industry!

iPhone Duo is in so much demand that current delivery date for Belgium is 27th Jan and increasing! I don't remember any other product launch from Apple that had so much demand. I can also be because of limited supply. Expect these to sell for much higher than the retail price in the secondary markets next week.

This is not even a question - Just Build. I'm lost on why Mistral is even wasting time on this debate. Mistral should just focus on building. There's no one stopping them. Europe being pessimistic, elected officials giving up etc.., shouldn't matter. I wish for an Europe where founders don't complain, but just focus on building. What we have today is founders blaming on lack of EU Inc, notaries, etc. Go f**king build!
Should Europe leave frontier AI to the Americans and the Chinese? The idea has gained ground in Europe. It is a fundamental mistake. Build or surrender: for now, the choice is still ours. Full article below.

“The bicycle is the tool, not the goal.” The goal is healthier people, happier communities, more liveable cities, and the freedom to get where you need without relying on a car. The bike happens to be one of the most powerful tools to get there. LISTEN: micromobility.io/news/how-th…
