Yes. The S Curve is always lurking in the background.
While adding more scale is about the incremental innovations to #ANN, we need to cultivate & brace for breakthrough innovations in #AI.
Tip: Apply Outcome Driven Innovation #ODI framework to break the innovators dilemma.

A gentle reminder to teams building agentic systems.
Have fun; enjoy the process of exploring novel architectures involving flashy new toys; learn new things along the way.
However
Don’t forget that you are building these things to solve a real problem. Your customers require results; they need value; they want solutions.

Beyond the history and politics of it, it's very important to understand the geometry (& hence geography) of Mathematics vs Ganita, as it applies to the contours of the future lives of majority of the children.
Formalism was not born of mundane needs. Won't be needed, tx to #AI.
Likewise, padres claimed their church mathematics of the quadrivium with its silly invisible points and invisible lines to be a "superior" kind of Western ethnomathematics, as we still teach AFTER NEP.
To repeat, we are still victim of these padreist superstitions or "Macaulay mindset": the NEP class 6 text still teaches Invisible points and lines.
We did not ask what this "superiority" means. We just blindly and wrongly assumed that it means superior practical value. In fact, after joining C-DAC, I gave up axiomatic mathematics because I discovered that it has absolutely no practical value for, say rocket science.
Then why did the current govt, appoint Manjul Bhargava to guide us for the NEP in mathematics. Just to help propagate church superstitions in mathematics?
The same stupid mistake repeated 200 years after Ram Mohun Roy. This time by the nationalist Indian government.
Manjul Bhargava's Fields medal only means that what he did is of service to the West and the padres, like spreading the church quadrivium. It is as contrary to Indian ganita and interests as the loot of India was contrary to Indian interests.
In what way are the theorems Bhargava proved of ANY practical value to any Indian?
I have asked this question before (pic1) and I am asking it again. If anybody has any answer, please respond. (Else ask the government to explain its choice.)
Imp. point: foolish to expect government to help you. You have to escape mental slavery yourself or u and ur kids will die as slaves.

Oh, Friedrich… Was hast du bloß gemacht?
A Rogue disciple of the German Idealists, hurling the ultimate taunt at the founding fathers of Indian Idealism… Hmmm.
How strange that Indian Idealists have never critiqued this new school of thought called Existentialism—even though it was a group of Cittamātravadins, led by Bodhidharma, who undertook the first radical deconstruction of 'religious-morality' in the history of philosophy. And many of the conclusions of that grand experiment seem to reappear in Nietzsche. 'Kill the Buddha!'
But for today, we shall judge a book by its cover. No more, no less. 'Thus Spake Zarathustra'
For a magnum opus that asks its readers to transcend good and evil, this is the ONE title that should never have been used. And Atharvan Zarathustra—the one man who should never have been elevated to the high honor of being mascot for such an ambitious philosophical project.
The fire priest who divided the whole universe into good and evil.
But who was he, really, this Zarathustra?
We must travel back in time, four thousand years, to the age of the Sapta-Sindhu Civilization. Because the events imagined in Nietzsche’s book actually transpired in ancient India, in the territory remembered as Gandhāra, on the banks of the Rasa river.
There dwelt the Atharvans, the infamous clan of fire priests. And among them, one Atharvan of the Spitama family rose to absolute power: the Dakhyuma of Rangha, the priest-king of the Dasyus and the Dāsas, with all temporal and spiritual authority concentrated in a single man. How dangerous! Kshatra and Brahma should always be separated...
He turned the old Indo-European religion upside down. He divided everything into good and evil. Even the animal kingdom was not spared. There were animals belonging to the Asura and animals belonging to Angra. Even the gods were torn apart into Devas and Asuras. He even laid down the foundations of monotheism. His changes triggered internecine war between brothers, permanent schism between Indo-Iranians, the Paurava and the Anava, and brought the joint civilization continuum to an end.
And so I ask you, Friedrich: you who boldly proclaimed 'the transvaluation of all values is begun'; you who commanded the Germanic mind to transcend good and evil—did you know what you were doing when you chose the Atharvan as your alter-ego?
Sag mir, Friedrich....

Mathematics is NOT universal.
Colonialism brought Western ethnomathematics, different from ganita, which prevailed in India ___before colonialism.
Different even at the level of 1+1= 2.
In ganita children learn one plus 1+1= 2, using observation, as you were taught in kindergarten. (pic1)
In axiomatic math brought by colonialism, observation is prohibited as explained in the previous class 9 text (p. 301, pic2)
Hence, Bertrand Russell foolishly took 378 pages to prove 1+1=2, That page 378 (pic3) is beyond the understanding of most people, because colonial education DELIBERATELY made us mathematically illiterate, as we will see in more detail later.

We want founders to make in India, but we also want to make it taxing for them to operate in India.
This is so predictable, except by RBI. Founders should set up operations in a country like Singapore: lower compliance, fewer/no stupid arbitrary regulations, regulators who listen, no capital gains tax, lower income tax.
The EDF (Export Declaration Form) rules are now in effect, and it seems like RBI and banks have conspired to create a new hell. Or actually 5 hells.
I consult for an American company. Raised October invoice. Received the Inward remittance. And bang! Mail from @HDFC_Bank detailing everything needed before the payment can be processed.
Let me tell you what the 5 hells are:
1. The hell of confusion – RBI clarified last month that the EDF rules do not apply to individuals. But looks like they haven’t told the banks. And CAs also don’t seem to know. There’s no official communication on who is exempt. Last I checked, I was an individual. No company, no LLP. But HDFC still wants me to file the EDF to credit my payment.
2. The hell of complexity – See the attached pic of the form the bank has sent in excel. It has 5 sheets. To be filled and submitted. Some abstruse acronyms like “AD” - no clue what it means. Some fields are mandatory. Some fields are to be filled by the bank. No idea which is what. And it needs a physical signature. Which leads to...
3. The hell of paperwork - They also sent a pdf with a bunch of request letters. I’m supposed to choose the right letter, print, sign, scan and submit. Creating more paper today is incredibly silly. And, I suppose, someone in the bank will have to upload all this somewhere. Reminds me of those hand-filled immigration forms. Pointless.
4. The hell of repetition – At least for me, most of the details are constant. One client, one payment. If it’s a one-time exercise, fine. I’ll grit my teeth and get it done. But no. These details have to be given month after month. Else… no payment will be credited.
5. The hell of unpreparedness – It would have been simple enough for RBI or HDFC to create an online portal for this. With dropdowns, saved formats, contextual help, etc. to at least make this easy. But that would be too convenient, no? So, they’ve chosen to dump the entire burden on the taxpayer.
I have no opinion or understanding of why this is needed. Maybe it is critical information. Okay! But why make the process so confusing and painful?
And poor communication has meant that the banks have just passed on the pain to the exporter, and even CAs can’t help.
Basically RBI & HDFC feel I should consult less, and comply more. Maybe my client will also agree :)

UNO Reverse: explain yourself 😂
You can only keep TWO . The other four disappear from your life forever. Which are you keeping?
- Your ability to make money
- Your health and strength
- Your partner who genuinely loves you
- Your family
- Your peace of mind
- Your closest, most loyal friend
Let’s see what really matters to people.
Have we discussed this in #CIOChat 👇🏾
Researchers mathematically proved that AI will cause something worse than mass unemployment.
They call it “The Tragedy of the Cognitive Commons.”
Every industry relies on a shared pool of deep professional expertise. This expertise doesn't just magically appear. It regenerates generation after generation.
How? Through struggle.
Junior employees do the hard, repetitive, frustrating work. In exchange, they slowly build what researchers call "Internalized Mastery."
But right now, AI is completely annihilating junior-level work.
Companies are celebrating massive productivity boosts by automating the entry-level grind. (Anthropic’s own data shows their technical junior hiring has plunged 33% as AI agents take over the pipeline).
It looks like efficiency. But it is actually a time bomb.
The researchers highlight a concept called the "Validation Tether."
Effective human oversight of AI depends entirely on deep domain expertise. When an AI hallucinates or makes a critical error, a human expert catches it.
The experts validating AI outputs today look competent because they spent a decade doing the grunt work before AI existed.
The terrifying question the paper asks is this:
Who comes after them?
When the current generation of experts retires, there will be no one left with the Internalized Mastery required to spot when the machine is wrong. We are completely severing the pipeline that creates human competence.
We are trading our long-term intellectual independence for short-term productivity boosts.
Every time you let AI bypass the struggle, you are borrowing expertise from the future.
And the interest rate is our ability to think for ourselves.
Can we get a #CIOChat t-shirt with this quote, @dhinchcliffe? 😅

"And then Joe pulled an all-nighter, and everything worked out in the nick of time" is a TERRIBLE org design pattern.
Years ago I heard, "Indispensable programmers should be fired immediately." No dig at great coders, but don't encourage fire-fighting behavior at the expense of making every key process boring as hell.

Sadly though, there's a lot of hero worship in many orgs that doesn't reward safety as much as firefighting. Everybody wants a hero who saved the day by flying into the fire, not the guy who ensured that a fire can't breakout. #CIOChat
