At just 7 YEARS OLD, K2 was flying an airplane and confidently communicating with AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL! I’ve always believed that one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is EXPOSURE. They can’t dream about opportunities they don’t even know exist! A special thank you to his flight instructor, Marlos Davis, for the incredible teaching, patience, and guidance he’s been giving K2! Expose your children to the world. You never know what they’ll discover they’re capable of!

Most don't realize how much more younger generations are staying married and being active in their children's lives.
The factoid that '50% of marriages end in divorce' was kinda true decades ago. But the divorce rate peaked in 1980. Now, less than 40% of all marriages since 2000 end in divorce. For college graduates, it's under 30%. For college graduates who get married after age 25, and who don't have any kids before marriage, it's under 20%. Anybody promoting the outdated, deceptive 50% rate has some kind of anti-marriage or anti-natalist agenda. It scares young people away from getting married and having kids. That is their goal.

Most of us fail in the most important moments in life. Inexperience, shock, denial, desperation, empathy - you name it, there are countless reasons why we do not and can not meet a moment. The pain of the failure never decreases when the wisdom arrives to see it clearly.
JL Collins was 24 when his dad sat on the edge of his hospital bed and told him, "I'm going to die tonight." How he answered is the biggest regret of his life. @JLCollinsNH

Sometimes you just know there’s a different way that you’re meant to be experiencing life but you may not be completely clear on what that new way is. Can you stay present in the “I don’t know yet’ without needing to fix or change anything about it. Without making it a problem.

Kanye West said it best: "If every time someone asks you a question you try to say the right answer, your entire life is a test. I am not trying to say the right answer. I'm just doing what I feel." Nobody should ever get to grade your life but you.

if I could coordinate a large scale study, I’d ask two questions: 1. “are you in love with your life?” and 2. “are you doing a lot of what energizes you?” I suspect a strong yes-yes correlation, and also a no-no

My piano teacher - who followed his heart, and built that absolute unicorn, a financially abundant life as a professional musician, said, once, he felt like "he stumbled through a glitch in the Matrix" to find his life but honestly? What he did was exactly this. Repeatedly.

I meet very few people who have strategized their way into an incredible life. I meet many people who have stumbled into one insofar as there is a conscious “strategy” that works, it seems to be: “do a lot of what energizes you”

People need more interactions without expecting anything in return. Call someone cute and walk away..you don't need their number. Acknowledge someone’s style. Help a stranger carry bags to their car. Life is rich with experiences if you open yourself up to them. Online dating and business culture have made things transactional. I used to feel extreme lack of confidence; my heart rate would rise talking to the pretty girl at the coffee shop. But practice enough and you’ll realize we take things too seriously sometimes. The least you can do is make someone’s day, even if you get rejected
Someone told me he thinks dating apps are bad because they let you access connection without having any motion in your life. Normally meeting people requires going out into the world, entering new scenes and navigating unfamiliar situations. You have to be living a life that brings you into contact with other people. Dating apps let you order connection without doing any of that work

The old world is dead, ladies and gentlemen. Nobody has 20 years of experience in what comes next. We’re all learning. The playing field is wide open. Light a fire under your ass and go build something. It’s Monday. Run through a fucking brick wall. Let’s go 🔥 🔥🔥

Obsession is the only honest relationship with the infinite. Lukewarm souls produce a lukewarm god, and every man who ever moved mountains first had to be possessed by the vision of where those mountains belonged

I'm fascinated by the rise of frictionmaxxing as a response to a frictionless life. We engineer away inconvenience, only to discover that some of the friction we removed was part of what made life feel alive in the first place
Someone could probably write a book (if they haven’t already) about the cycle of technology productizing the removal of friction in the name of convenience only for us to discover that the friction was a load-bearing part of the social compact.
