I doubt ON punters understand pref voting.
It’s NOT 1st past the post.
In House voting, scoring 30% on the first count is nothing unless 20% of those who DIDN’T vote for you as their 1st pref then chose you as their 2nd pref.
But why would a voter give ON 2nd pref but not 1st!
For ON supporters who of course have no idea how voting for the House of Reps work.
To win a seat you have to get 50% +1 votes.
ON candidate MIGHT get 30%. But where will the additional 20% come from when 70% of voters dislike ON.
