And the point is: Palestinians are being literally crushed -killed, tortured, mutilated in their body and soul-, blamed and smeared by people who call themselves zionists. How can the emergency be someone’s hurt feelings about an ideology? This tells a lot about values/priorities

Yesterday, I received a security notification from Apple warning me that my iPhone had been targeted by a sophisticated mercenary spyware attack, involving technology of the kind developed by companies such as NSO Group, the Israeli firm behind the notorious Pegasus spyware. Perhaps the most alarming aspect of Apple’s warning was its confirmation that such attacks target specific individuals “because of who you are or what you do.” This is not the first time I have been targeted by spyware. I was previously targeted with Pegasus in both 2017 and 2021. I do not yet know who is behind this latest attack, or whether it is connected to my investigative documentary, The Trap, which I directed and co-produced. The film, available on Al Jazeera 360, exposed the details of the September 2024 pager explosions in Lebanon. What is certain, however, is that the targeting of journalists with sophisticated spyware poses a grave threat to press freedom, the confidentiality of journalistic sources, and the very foundations of independent investigative journalism.

Denkt doch mal an die Kuba-Krise 1962 Was erzählt man uns ?

I can hardly imagine anyone who hasn’t seen this photograph. But it was taken on this day in 2000. I cannot believe the photo is 26 years old now. The boy in the photograph was Fares Odeh. He was just 14 years old. Ten days after this image was captured, Fares went out again to throw stones at Israeli tanks, seeking to avenge the killing of his 17-year-old cousin. An Israeli sniper shot him in the neck, killing him. And there is another chilling detail to this photograph. The photo changed Israeli tank doctrine. In August 2001, The Jerusalem Post quoted an anonymous tank doctrinist saying tank personnel were now instructed to fire upon rock-throwers.

a reminder that Israel is not a real country. It doesn't have declared borders. It doesn't have a constitution. Its population does not have family roots in the land prior to the modern advent of zionism. They don't have a native culture, native food, dance, or stories. Israel is literally the greatest heist of the 20th century that expelled an ancient society and turned their land into a jewish supremacist military outpost murdering its way through time, and constantly cobbling together new stories about itself to suit the latest political whims, while destroying everything that threatens their latest flimsy narrative. God and the Bible have nothing to do with this abominable entity. They're not "chosen." They're not "a light." They're the biggest and most dangerous charlatans the world has ever known. That was not a democratic election. It was another act in this absurd theatre we're all forced to endure.

Hi, I'm free. Beat up but fine. Police stole my phone. Settlers punched me in the face several times, likely broke @AdeleShoko's wrist and gave @the_andrey_x a concussion. They threatened to shoot us with an assault rifle over and over. Will tell the full story later, but for now, I just want to be clear about what happened. We witnessed two settlers locking a military gate in Umm al-Khair, blocking the only way to more than twenty Palestinian communities: trapping families inside, preventing students from reaching school and workers from their jobs, blocking delivery of food and access to ambulances, etc. It's a crime that the military has this ability at all--but last night, we discovered that random settler terrorists also have the key. We confronted them and began asking questions on camera, and they nearly murdered us for it. When the police finally arrived, they arrested Andrey and me and charged us with assault. The gate is still locked.

I have literally spent the last month trekking around Jordan interviewing elderly Nakba survivors and hearing their harrowing stories- and just completed a three hour video interview on Saturday night. No one I talked to left before multiple neighbours or family members had been shot and killed. Few of them had any weapons of any sort to protect themselves and if they did they were ancient Turkish muskets. Their opponents were armed with modern, newly-imported Czech rifles and many had been trained and drilled by the British. It became simply suicidal to remain, though many old people tried to so. The guy I interviewed on Saturday fled with his mother after their village was bombed. Their father remained and was loaded onto a truck to Gaza, at gunpoint, by the Haganah. Many of the family members that remained in Gaza have been killed in the last two years

This is a map of voting sites in Jerusalem. As you can see, they are completely absent from most of East Jerusalem, where the majority is Palestinian. This is how apartheid works. You give a small and harmless minority of Palestinians the right to vote, take pictures of them and talk about how you have democracy. Then you don't let them into the coalition and make sure only Jews have power.

Complain to Sky News and Reuters for their inaccuracies and bias, even if it's a simple reminder that we reject their spin. Even a simple copy pasted email can help. Follow the instructions below:
New Action Campaign: Have you noticed how a UN-commissioned finding of genocide turned into a claim? This was Sky News's headline on Monday night: "UN report claims Israel 'genocide' in Gaza has continued after ceasefire" The UN commission of inquiry made no claim. It investigated cases, applied the law and reported its findings to the General Assembly: - Israel is still committing genocide in Gaza. It has murdered 1,431 people after the 'ceasefire', at least 300 of them children. - In the occupied West Bank, Israel committed crimes against humanity, extermination, torture, rape and persecution. It has murdered 254 Palestinians since October 2023. - Israel answered neither of the commission's two requests for information. Then the media got to work. We counted every word of 15 "news" reports: - Israel's denial got 1,178 words. Palestinians got 46, all from one diplomat defending the Palestinian Authority. Not one report quoted a Palestinian about what Israel did. - Haaretz, an Israeli paper, gave the findings more words than any of the 15: 840, or 84% of its report. Sky gave them 407 (58%), The New York Times 532 (61%), Reuters 319 and The Independent 312. - Sky wrote "claims" or "alleges" about the findings nine times, even about the UN's own death toll. In Sky's report Palestinians "died", while Israelis "were killed" in a "terror attack" it called "the atrocity". - Sky gave 21% of its report to Israel's denial and to doubts about the commission. No outlet outside Israel gave them more. - Reuters never told its readers that the commission found crimes against humanity. CBC ran the same copy. - Not one report said Israel had refused to answer the commission. This headline on this date of publication with little to no media/political coverage or outrage and zero material impact on the lives and safety of Palestinians is proof that there is no such thing as international law. It’s the law of the jungle out there, and some of you are still condemning the prey for not just dying quietly.
