Took time to read the latest Human Rights Watch report on Zambia yesterday. Damning. Please have a read here:
Zambian police and military forcibly disappeared, arbitrarily detained, beat, and threatened opposition members, lawyers, journalists, and government critics before and after general elections in August. The post-election climate of repression has had a chilling effect on civic and political organizations. hrw.org/news/2026/11/01/zamb…

If you are a Zedian you need to read this report because it shows that we are our own worst enemy....Zambians are complicit in the impoverishment of their fellow citizens. This took me a number of day to create because I did not want leave out any details and this is why it is about 50 mins long. If you can watch a 1 hr Nigerian movie or a movie on Netfix, you owe it to yourself to watch this.

I have an interesting story...6 months after I arrived in Australia for my studies, I was in the reception area of the admin building and there were these 2 ohns who were presenting their passports so that they could be issued with student IDs. They had Zambian passports but I could tell they were not Zambians. So I stuck around the area and when they were done, I walked up to them and introduced myself as a fellow Zambian. I asked which city they came from and they said Lusaka. I asked them which part of Lusaka they came from and they said they came from "the Matero". Those ohns where West African. They had never been to Lusaka because non of them could name any single place of interest When I asked which primary schools they attended...that is when they just walked off without saying a word. I went to back the reception and told them that I thought that those 2 students were traveling on Zambian passports, but they were not Zambians. Those guys knew that they were busted and they just disappeared. Never attended a single class. I don't know if they were ever caught. Too much njala ku Immigration dept...

@joseph_kalimbwe is right about the NRC issue did u know Yes, the US implemented visa suspensions and restrictions for Zambians, partially driven by concerns over passport security and foreign nationals acquiring Zambian passports. Document Integrity Concern the US Government

These matters concern every neighbor of Zambia, Just like Zambia is concerned with everything going on with her neighbors. Any unfortunate event may affect them or Zambia. Let's argue and defend with soberness. What has not having a wife got anything with issues he's raising??
Who made Ian Khama the custodian of democratic standards in SADC. Someone please tell that sad lonely bachelor he needs a wife. We can find him a beautiful bemba lady here so he stops poking his nose in matters that doesn't concern him.

Hamasaka accuses Khama of sponsoring militia group in Zambia By Shadreck Jere STATE House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka has accused former Botswana president Ian Khama of sponsoring a militia group in Zambia, alleging that some of the suspects in police custody are his relatives. Brian Brian Brian! You are too schooled and exposed for this. Khama is the founding Eden University Chancellor since 2010. In any case, as someone who has been schooled, you are supposed to attack his points, but like most UPND sympathizers, you attack the person. SS was right
It all makes sense now, doesn’t it? 🙄

HELSB Requirements for 2026: 1. Completed in 2025, and not later than 2020; 2. 26 years old and below; 3. 30 points and below; 4. Has not received any sponsorship. School admission cutoff-points, and HELSB cut-off aren't the same.

Echoes of Wamuyayaya: Is Parliament Dead? My latest Substack article talking about the fact that whilst there doesn't appear to be any meaningful opposition in the National Assembly, all is not lost as history shows that we have been here before and our democracy survived. I think going unopposed is better than this wickedness 👇🏽 Imagine you wake up at 3am just to cast your vote that will later be trashed.
Elections are now a sham, and democracy has become a mockery 😌 Even under the brutal PF regime, we didn’t experience such. Every sober person knows that the withdrawals of opposition candidates is highly questionable and suspicious

Zambia Group Hails Appointment of Female Cabinet Ministers By Peter Clottey September 29, 2016 4:50 PM Zambian President Edgar Lungu has appointed eight women to his Cabinet in a decision that one women's group in the country has welcomed as a positive step forward. In a statement, Lungu said there was a need to encourage more women to become involved in politics. "Ministerial positions are not about appeasing. The appointment of ministers is a … prerogative of the president. ... It's about getting the best to deliver," said Lungu, who opens parliament Friday. He also warned that he will not hesitate to fire disloyal and under-performing ministers. His recent comments came after he expressed concern about the low representation of women in parliament. The portfolios for the new Cabinet appointees include higher education, agriculture, gender, community development and social welfare, and lands. Juliet Chibuta, executive director of the advocacy group Zambia National Women's Lobby, said the inclusion of the women is an achievement worth mentioning, but added there is room for improvement.
When I was first Cabinet Minister we were three women only, now we’re now five. That’s a bigger number progress is being made, we should appreciate - Veep

LIAR LIAR! The voice note played in this presser clearly shows that he has been threatened with non bailable offenses, and his life and that of his family has been threatened. He wanted even to shift from his house. Some names, and letters sent to ECZ. facebook.com/share/v/19sdW7S…

Insiders are saying the real reason is lack of support from Tonse. The withdrawal from the Alliance by NRPUP did a big jolt to the aspirations of Tonse. So the financial support to FDD isn't coming forth.

Do people in provinces speak other subjects like Science, Mathematics, etc,?
Not to be a party pooper but most Lusaka kids are failing the “ Cinyanja” paper. That is not even the nyanja we speak as a province, The teachers barely speak it or understand it and you expect kids to pass it???😂😂😂
