This may be the best ad of the midterms. Truly touching.
I’ve been in this fight my whole life. Don’t ever let them make you feel powerless. When working people stand together, there’s nothing we can’t do. Today is the last day to vote early. Let’s go win this thing, Maine.

Disappointing catch to the announcement about interceptors going to Ukraine—delivery in a few years. Facing a hideously harsh winter & searing hardship from Russian bombs, Ukraine urgently needs air defense.
A strong decision by the U.S. State Department – authorizing Ukraine’s purchase of Patriot interceptors to counter Russian ballistic missiles. Five hundred PAC-3 interceptors is a substantial number, and very soon – this winter – they COULD make for a highly effective defense package. However, it has been stipulated that deliveries may begin ONLY IN A FEW YEARS. We are asking our American partners to find a solution for the time when there is a real danger and a real need to use PAC-3 interceptors. Right now, the Russians are attacking our energy infrastructure every single day. In just these past two weeks of October, there have already been more than 30 Russian strikes on critical parts of our power grid. It is right now, even before the beginning of winter, that Putin has started carrying out his operation to attack the systems that sustain life in our cities and communities. The targets are electricity, heating, water supplies, bridges, and life in our cities in general. We did ask our American partners to provide Ukraine with a winter support package – at a rate of 100 Patriot interceptors per month. Five hundred missiles would be enough to protect our skies over the coming months – precisely when it is so important for Ukraine to be in a strong position in negotiations and for Russia NOT to succeed in breaking life in Ukrainian cities and communities. The United States, our European partners, and other partners around the world have sufficient stocks of PAC-3 interceptors in their warehouses. Providing them to Ukraine right now – in the winter of 2026–2027 – and replenishing our partners’ arsenals LATER, in THE FOLLOWING YEARS, through this production already contracted and paid for by Ukraine and our partners would be the right approach. And it is entirely feasible. We are grateful to President Trump. Importantly, we recently discussed PAC-3 interceptors with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Ukraine is grateful to the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Administration overall for granting this authorization. But we are asking for decisions that can guarantee the protection of lives not the day after tomorrow or sometime later, but at the very moment the threat is there – when Russia is killing and destroying. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine! state.gov/releases/bureau-of…

Russian war blogger Vladimir Romanov reported that 17 buses were taking Oleshky residents towards Ukrainian-controlled territory, compared with four towards Russia. Then the embarrassing figures disappeared from his post. Next came the damage control: claims that Ukraine’s SBU had spent a month influencing residents through their mobile phones. Apparently, Ukrainians wanting to return to their own country requires a conspiracy theory. After more than four years of Russian occupation, these people still know where they belong. Their resilience deserves our admiration. 🇺🇦

This is EXACTLY what Putin’s Russia is — slaughtering civilians while pretending to want peace. All they really want is power, and they’ll destroy anyone who wants to live in freedom in the process. nypost.com/2026/10/29/world-…

Collins' campaign ad inferred that working class folks aren't sophisticated enough to serve in D.C.–even someone who served as a *state Senator for 14 years. Vote for the down-to-earth Troy Jackson, Mainers. He's smart enough to know that road salt doesn't go in your spice rack.
I can’t imagine how that ad passed vetting in the Collins campaign. That line making fun of his working class roots. That line is what’s gonna stick and it may be that line that beats her.

These are the "American patriots" and "concerned Europeans" you're talking to on X. There's no reason to argue with computers. Just block them all and move on.

On this day in 2001 Ukraine eliminated its last nuclear delivery airplane. Their reward was being invaded by russia, having cities bombed into dust while the West expresses "serious concerns" and rants about "escalation management." Ukraine gave up its Soviet nuclear arsenal, then the 3rd biggest in the world, in exchange for Security Guarantees from the US, UK and russia. Back then, people applauded the move. Today we can safely say it was a grave mistake. Just 20 years after Ukraine signed the 1994 Budapest Memorandum and gave up its nuclear weapons, russia invaded Ukraine's Crimea and Donbas regions in 2014. And no one dared to interfere "because russia has nukes." Now, letting russia do as they please "because of nukes" sends only one message to the world. Ukraine and many other states in the world need to seek out nuclear weapons again. Because the "security assurances" from the West were proven to mean nothing.

“I’m leaving because I’ve missed my children so much.” A woman evacuating Russian-occupied Oleshky explains her decision. Video from the Kherson region shows people gathering at a building entrance. Someone wheels a suitcase along a wet street. Russian war correspondents at the scene report that people wanting to go to Ukraine filled 17 buses. Those choosing Russia filled four. Nearby, a van covered in raccoon images bears the words “We don’t abandon our own.”

These are the words Trump should be saying to Putin. Alas, all we hear is praise and a deafening silence when it comes to speaking of the thousands of innocent Ukrainians who have been murdered by war criminal . Instead the words are left to Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski to deliver. A man who’s not a traitor to his country. 🎥 TikTok - vm.tiktok.com/ZGdXdxavB/

Russian propagandist Romanov accidentally blows up the Kremlin's entire propaganda facade in Oleshky, noting that Russia has only 4 evacuation buses and Ukraine has 17. Under brutal Russian occupation for years, residents have seen enough of the Russian world.

I personally continue to coordinate the humanitarian mission. ☝️At this stage, those who wished to leave Oleshky have had the opportunity to do so and are now on their way to Ukraine. Humanitarian aid has been delivered. The convoys have split up, and I am now heading back to Ukraine. The ceasefire has been in effect for 87 hours. No violations have been recorded. I would like to thank the Ukrainian Defence Forces for making this humanitarian mission possible! ❗️Our work continues in accordance with the agreements reached with Russia’s Human Rights Commissioner, Yana Lantratova, with the support and coordination of US @FLOTUS

Remarkable reporting by @Shelby_Wilder on @NEWSMAX as the network covers the evacuation from Oleshky. "Why would some Ukrainians choose to stay in Oleshky? Because they fear being put in the hands of the Russians. Even with the Ukrainian delegation on the ground, this being a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, these Ukrainians that have been in a war-torn city are afraid. What if they could be subjected to filtration? What if they could be detained by Russian authorities going through screenings? Ukrainian men of fighting age fear they could be forced into Russian military recruitment as they try to leave. We are also hearing reports that civilians have been pressured to stay in Russia. And again, the evacuation process that's taking place is not straightforward. Residents cannot go from occupied Ukraine into Ukraine because there is a front line. So civilians will be going from Oleshky through occupied Ukraine into Russia, into Belarus, and then back to Ukraine. Newsmax is traveling with this humanitarian convoy, so we'll continue to bring you the latest updates as we get them."

STATEMENT: The administration is flying Afghans to the Taliban during election week, hoping no one notices. That's not deportation. It's a sentence. Congress can stop it: pass the Afghanistan TPS Act (H.R. 9899 and S. 5308). #AfghanEvac
