Shorter Kathy Hochul: Please come back to this abusive relationship so we can keep beating you

Dear Superintendents and Golf Staff,
With so much focus on the rough this week at Oakmont, I’m reminded of how quickly long grass can turn a fun round into a scavenger hunt for us weekend warriors.
If you notice groups shuffling through the rough, heads down, hunting for golf balls, it’s a good sign the rough is too high for everyday play.
Tour-level, four+ inch rough is a good challenge for championship golf, but it can slow pace of play and sap enjoyment for the rest of us "normal" golfers.
I had a superintendent from a very well-known course tell me: "If you can't see a ball in the rough from 40-50 yards away, your rough is too high".
Even trimming it back an inch or two can help pace-of-play, reduce frustration, and still reward accurate shots. If you want to let it grow longer for the occasional "big event", go for it.
But trust me, golf is still PLENTY difficult with 2.5 inch rough.
Thanks for the countless details you all manage to ensure the course is always at its best so we can enjoy the game we all love so much.
Best,
Lou

I shared this note with the Washington Post team this morning:
I’m writing to let you know about a change coming to our opinion pages.
We are going to be writing every day in support and defense of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets. We’ll cover other topics too of course, but viewpoints opposing those pillars will be left to be published by others.
There was a time when a newspaper, especially one that was a local monopoly, might have seen it as a service to bring to the reader’s doorstep every morning a broad-based opinion section that sought to cover all views. Today, the internet does that job.
I am of America and for America, and proud to be so. Our country did not get here by being typical. And a big part of America’s success has been freedom in the economic realm and everywhere else. Freedom is ethical — it minimizes coercion — and practical — it drives creativity, invention, and prosperity.
I offered David Shipley, whom I greatly admire, the opportunity to lead this new chapter. I suggested to him that if the answer wasn’t “hell yes,” then it had to be “no.” After careful consideration, David decided to step away. This is a significant shift, it won’t be easy, and it will require 100% commitment — I respect his decision. We’ll be searching for a new Opinion Editor to own this new direction.
I’m confident that free markets and personal liberties are right for America. I also believe these viewpoints are underserved in the current market of ideas and news opinion. I’m excited for us together to fill that void.

“Inflation” is a misleading word that deceives the public into believing that goods are more expensive - which is not necessarily true.
“Currency debasement” is the correct phrase to use.
Vital to distinguish between the two.

Currency devaluation is a crime against humanity.
Pass it on,

Most people have it backward.
They think they need to be wealthy before hiring a financial advisor.
Wrong.
Seeking advice is investing in your financial future.
Here's what that looks like:
1. Proper asset allocation
2. Tax loss harvesting
3. Planning for large purchases
4. Seeking advice around emotional financial decisions
5. Navigating family finances
6. Negotiating interest rates on loans
And so much more...
All of that can be accomplished without being "wealthy."
Also, being wealthy can mean vastly different things to different people.
And not every financial advisor has a requirement to become a client.
You wouldn't wait until you're fit to hire a personal trainer.
So why wait until you're wealthy to get professional financial guidance?

The IRS is warning Americans that starting 2025 they must report payments on Venmo, PayPal & Zelle of over $600.
Meanwhile…
The Pentagon just failed its SEVENTH audit in a row, as they were unable to account for 60% of their $4.1 trillion in assets. $824 billion annual budget.

Don't be fooled, inflation isn't an accident. It's a deliberate policy to steal your wealth.

The other day I said Trump was just a politician - with some good ideas and some bad ones. This made both the left and the right really upset.
The right believes he's a superhuman savior, sent to save us from the bureaucrats and corruption running our system.
The left believes he's a dictator in the making, certain to destroy our very foundations and strip us of our basic liberties.
In reality, his first term was pretty rank and file. The only reason either side believes differently is because the media told them to. Plain and simple.
Anyone actually following the Biden Administration knows he has done equally horrendous things when it comes to violating our constitution, our rights and our market.
Anyone who actually followed the Trump presidency knows he did very little of the things he ran on (like pardoning whistle blowers, crushing the deep state, or even building the wall).
Americans MUST become more media literate. They MUST learn to pay attention to policy vs. talking points. And they must work against their caveman brains and break out of the tribalistic thinking that has allowed the country to reach a fever pitch.
Both parties are bad. Few politicians are good. The public school system has no incentive to teach you HOW to think. And the media has an agenda it will push (rather that be partisanship or merely clicks), they aren't there to inform you.
Develop critical thinking skills. Seek out information that pushes back on your beliefs. Be slow to react and quick to question everything. And most importantly, stop believing your side is all good and the other side is all bad.
Democrats/Republicans are not your enemy. The government is. And if you want to defeat the centralization of power we have to work together and master these skills. Voting won't cut it.

I've given up pushing #Bitcoin on my close ones,
Now,
they come to me when they're set to buy or learn.
Here's why this is the move!
1. Forced adoption backfires.
- Let people find their own way.
2. Info bombardment is real.
- Don't add to the noise.
3. Changing minds ain't easy.
- People gotta align Bitcoin with their own beliefs.
4. Genuine interest beats volume.
- Let them come to you for deeper talks.
5. Organic growth is gold.
- Let Bitcoin speak for itself.
6. Don't ruin relationships for BTC .
- Let them come to you and keep the peace.
7. Autonomy is king.
- Give people the space to make their own choices.
Bottom line:
Let them come to you for Bitcoin talk.
Easier and better.

I'm starting to believe steak is the best multivitamin on the planet.
It's high protein.
It contains essential nutrients like iron, zinc, selenium, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, phosphorus, magnesium & potassium.
Most important, it tastes delicious.

Let me get this straight. Sophisticated big banks decided to loan #Trump money, were repaid in full with interest, never complained, and now Trump was fined $365 million because some judge claims Trump obtained those loans based on fraud. The real fraud is NY's kangaroo court.

🚨PSA for the ladies🚨
Twice within the last month, I’ve been approached at two different gas stations by two different men who have walked up to me, credit card in hand, and asked if I could come over toward their car and help them figure out how to use their credit card at the gas pump.
Not once did they ask for money, they asked me to follow them. In fact, the first one I briefly informed he had to leave his card in the machine until it told him to remove and he persisted, asking me to walk over and physically show him. 🚩
Both times I obviously declined and left ASAP, but this has never happened to me before. Now it’s happened twice in a month under totally different circumstances??
What adult owns a car but doesn’t know how to use a credit card at a gas pump?? 🚩
I spoke with my friend, @BooyensJaco, who confirmed human trafficking is happening at gas stations at an accelerated rate, along with other crimes against women.
Ladies, PLEASE be vigilant, watch your six, & always be aware of your surroundings!
And ALWAYS be locked and loaded.
