Cheers, chills, and a standing ovation when RASolute 302 showed unprecedented survival on daraxonrasib for patients with progressive pancreatic cancer Seldom do you sense you’re witnessing a historic moment in cancer care but this feels like ras targeting has arrived #ASCO26

The two most exciting cases at #ValladoLive2025 were 🧲 EUS GJ conversion to Magnetic GJ 🧲 MCA (Magnetic compression anastomosis) to restore biliary tract continuity following a complete transection of the bile duct after a cholecystectomy 👏 Paul Yeaton and Sanjay Rajput

Neil’s passing at such a young age is tremendous profound tragedy beyond words. His absence leaves a global void; Everyone who knew him is well aware of his incredible surgical prowess, impeccable judgment, innovative creative mind, keen wit, and engaging demeanor. Those people who did not know Neil may not recognize how their surgical practices have been influenced by him. Patients throughout the world will continue to benefit from his legacy. Rest in peace our dear friend Neil. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Our friend @Neil_J_Smart has given his final lecture, the apprentices learning from his wise words, great times, & hard work - patients getting the very best. Legacy exists in the actions of those that follow & the stories continuing to be told & yes mate, “You did good” RIP

Our international multicentre collaborative study that will help in the management of patients with bilobar colorectal cancer liver metastases 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇯🇵🇧🇷 -> recurrence patterns and post-recurrence survival 👇 @BJSurgery @bjsopen @EAHPBA @ihpba @APHPBA @AHPBA @_ILTS_
Recurrence patterns and post-recurrence survival of patients with bilobar colorectal liver metastases: international multicentre retrospective study ➡️ doi.org/10.1093/bjs/znaf003 Understanding patterns and timing of recurrence and knowing post-recurrence survival data helps to select and counsel patients with BiCRLM for various treatments 1⃣During the initial 6-month period after resection, predominantly isolated liver metastases were identified, whereas peritoneal metastases became more prevalent after 12 months 2⃣Isolated lung metastases were associated with the most favourable survival outcomes 3⃣Number of liver lesions, N-stage of the primary tumour, intraoperative ablation, and margin status were associated with recurrence 4⃣Time to recurrence, recurrence pattern, Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumours (RECIST) progressive disease, chemotherapy, and primary tumour site were associated with OS 5⃣Surgery and other locoregional treatment of recurrence were associated with better survival. The sense of community is one of the many things I love about HPB surgery. So happy to catch up with my previous @augis mentor @Surgerygirl8, and with @richlaing at the UK HPB robotic conference. Both supported me during my training & I’m always grateful.
