"Ice cream is one of the few foods with a federal definition." No food should have a "federal" definition. It should be seen as Un-American and tyrannical. That being said, the essay is great, especially if you are an ice cream lover.
Ice cream has a federal definition: at least 10% milkfat, and a gallon must weigh at least 4.5 pounds. “Frozen dairy dessert” has none. US sales doubled from $319M in 2022 to $652M by late 2025. It’s now 1 in 11 tubs sold. On how to tell the difference. Link below 👇

Kelsey Grammer is making a movie to foster hate of the South. He collapses the war into “end slavery,” and treats the division as a moral binary in which one side was right and the other wrong. "Back then the country was angry and divided. Sound familiar?" The film "delivers a powerful reminder of unity in times of national divide echoing the timeless words 'A house divided against itself cannot stand'."
So, it sounds like it will be about the war to end slavery. "This epic movie will detail the true story of SGT Albert Townsend, a young man who, after hearing an impassioned speech by Frederick Douglass, joined what would become the Union Army’s 34th Battery..." —Mark Caldwell, chattanoogan.com

After forty years in front of the camera, I’ll be directing my first feature film, SO HELP ME GOD: a Civil War epic about a Union soldier named Albert Townsend, who should have received the Medal of Honor but didn’t. Clerical error. I learned of Albert through his descendants’ archival research. What I found was more than an injustice waiting to be corrected. It was a story of friendship and extraordinary courage: an unassuming young man becoming a soldier who held his ground, and his principles, under fire. That’s a story worth telling on the largest possible scale. And we’re inviting the people who want to see it told to help bring it to the screen, as investors in the film through Republic. We intend to do it justice: real cannons, one hundred horses, and the cast in period-accurate uniforms. We’ve brought on Mark Huffam, whose work includes Saving Private Ryan, Game of Thrones, and The Martian, to produce it. He knows what it takes to make an epic, and how much depends on the human story at its heart. At the Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I introduced the project alongside Civil War historian Brad Quinlin, members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and representatives of Civil War Roundtables. We’re also supporting the campaign for Albert’s posthumous Medal of Honor. His descendants are still fighting to see his courage properly recognized. This picture is about friendship, love, and honor — and common people rising to accomplish extraordinary things. I want to give that story everything it deserves. I hope you will lift the banner with us. Learn more about the film and the opportunity to invest: sohelpmegod.film

Nothing has changed since May. AI LLMs still lie and then try to cover it up. The leaders, Elon, Sam, and Dario, all knew their designs would result in misinformation. They shipped anyway.

The 1866 great fire of Portland spread throughout the city of Portland, Maine, on July 4, 1866. Some Virginia papers reported the event claiming Portlanders rejoiced at the burning of Richmond 15 months earlier. The Abingdon Virginian, Fri, Jul 20, 1866

My mutuals are tough. I probably did cave too early and without enough research on the Richmond photograph. I still don't know what the truth is.
Replying to @ricksapp
So you believe the self-serving Yankee lie about retreating Confederates burning Richmond? Highly suspect, don’t you think?

"A great debt has been contracted in securing to us and our posterity the Union." —Ulysses S. Grant, March 4, 1869, 1st Inaugural Address President Grant says the debt was contracted to secure the Union, not to end slavery. On his deathbed he would say it was about slavery.

I gave you evidence of what he thought on his inauguration. You say he changed his mind during the war yet provide no evidence.

It appears that the Richmond photo may not have been a good choice. Some of the destruction there was undertaken by Confederates to keep supplies out of Union hands. Here is Atlanta then. There is also much of Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and The Shenandoah Valley.

"It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance." —Thomas Sowell, November 30, 2005, Real Clear Politics Oh, the irony. To think @DennisPrager has anything to say about morality disgusts me.

You have seen the @pragerU 5 minute videos. Now we have the @Jeff_Davis1808 10 minute videos. The difference is that Davis does not lie and true to form, he uses primary documents right in the video! Well done, sir.

AI dishonesty is rampant and it is not improving. I see it being minimized by industry leaders and talking heads by using fancy words like anthropomorphize. In moments of honesty, those same talking heads admit lying is an issue like they did on Moonshots episode #305.

Lee’s instincts were correct. He initially declined General William Rosecrans’s request for a statement of Southern views at White Sulphur Springs. Rosecrans was working for the Democratic presidential campaign. Lee got some nasty press as a result. Buffalo Post, Sep 16, 1868

It is important to reinforce that Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi produced nuclear powered submarines in the 1960s and 70s. It overhauled and refueled nuclear submarines until 1980. Haters are going to struggle with these facts. 😂🤣
When the South was Southern and America still had a spine. USS Snook (SSN-592) — a nuclear attack submarine built in Pascagoula, Mississippi — leaving port in 1961 flying the Confederate Naval Jack (the same rectangular Southern Cross used as the Army of Tennessee battle flag). The only nuke known to have done it. Southern shipyard pride, American steel, and a flag that meant something. They used to build the real thing and fly the real colors without apology. What changed?
