Imagine if 9 puppies had to die for every 1 you adopted. And even then, your 1 puppy would be far more likely to die than if you'd left it alone. We'd never accept that.
NEW from me
90% of sloths captured in the wild for import will die before reaching the U.S. More die prematurely once here. There is no good reason to continue importing sloths.
Extremely grateful to @RepMaxwellFrost and @RepLaurelLee for introducing the SLOTHS Act!!

Nah.
You understand that the attack ad affirmatively took the side of an indicted sexual abuser, who fled the charges rather than face them, and you observe that Vivek is standing by the "really bad attack ad," making it a character flaw, not a mistake.
So you don't.

Your regular reminder that the NewsBusters guys define "conservatism" purely as being a loyal pro-Trump Republican. This piece on @Alyssafarah illustrates it perfectly. Not one example of her "abandoning her conservatism." Just complaints about her being insufficiently partisan.

This is just embarrassingly incompetent "economic" reasoning.
Tariffs affect a consumer surplus transfer to the beneficiary industry by specifically and intentionally raising prices. Wishcasting about some future price decrease in their wake is not a serious argument.
Tariffs of this sort don't aim at raising prices for their own sake, but on establishing incentives for investment in American industry which, once productive, has its own reasons to reduce prices. | @michaelbd

The only products that compete with each other in this post are Cholula and Frank's RedHot.
Both are already owned by McCormick.
The single example she gave of competing products being "controlled" by the same company after the merger... are already owned by the same company.

True story: in 1985 there was a proposed merger between RJ Reynolds and Nabisco, and among the doomsday scenarios cited by opponents of the merger was tha Chung King and La Choy would be under the same ownership. That's right, a dystopian monopoly that would economically rape of millions of buyers of shitty canned Chinese food
