My interview with the brilliant #Fauda co-creator @issacharoff who knows more about the Palestinians than almost anyone else in Israel.
Speaking in London about the reaction of some in the West he says: âI canât get over how ignorant these people are. When they say âFree Palestineâ do they understand that Hamas is a dictatorship that took Gaza by force? That they killed 160 Fatah members? That they force people to follow Sharia law?
âIt is so ridiculous that it makes me angry. And it has changed something in the Israeli perception.
âI donât like that civilians are being killed in Gaza. Hamas has created this Catch 22 situation â they attack from inside populated areas knowing that there will be a retaliation. And they hide in tunnels which they donât allow civilians into â they are only for Hamas. And yet people are marching for Hamas.
âNow we realise that no matter what happens, even if Hamas slaughters thousands of Israelis, these people, these âgoodâ people, donât care. At the end of the day, you canât see it as anything more than antisemitism. It is pure antisemitism. So, excuse my French, but f*ck them.â

Today Mike Freer, the UK MP who represents the riding with the heaviest concentration of British Jews announced he was not seeking reelection due to threats to his personal safety. I am so sorry for what he & his family must have gone through to reach this point. Just awful.

51 years ago, #RoeVWade made abortion care a constitutional right.
But since it was overturned, Republicans have stopped at nothing to attack our bodily autonomy.
As @ProChoiceCaucus Task Force Chair, I'll keep legislating to affirm abortion care as the human right that it is.

Norman Jewison. I knew the day was coming but youâre never ready. The progressive heart of so many of his films. The way he championed Canadian storytellers. Was lucky to be at the Hazelton Hotel screening room naming last Sept. His wish, use it to show Canadian films. RIP

Antisemitism on campus is a problem across North America. My colleagues and I sent a letter to the 28 largest Canadian universities asking what steps they were taking. I am pleased to report all 28 responded by our deadline. More on this in coming days.
