Researchers killed vector databases with a quantum mechanics.
They introduced “ResonanceDB”
Every major AI right now uses something called "vector embeddings" to remember data. It turns words and concepts into static coordinates on a mathematical map.
But there is a massive, structural flaw.
Because of how the math works, AI is terribly bad at opposites.
If you map the word "happy" and the phrase "not happy," standard AI memory places them almost exactly next to each other.
It sees the surface similarity. It completely misses the negation.
That’s why AI hallucinates when context shifts. It doesn't understand polarity. It just sees words that look alike.
A new paper just dropped a completely new paradigm: Wave-Based Semantic Memory.
Instead of storing memories as static dots on a map, it stores them as waves. Literally. Complex-valued waveforms with amplitude and phase.
When you ask the AI a question, it doesn't just measure distance anymore. It looks for "constructive interference."
If two ideas are aligned, the waves amplify each other. They resonate.
If an idea is negated, the wave is shifted completely out of phase. They cancel each other out.
It mathematically solves the exact blind spot of modern AI.
The craziest part?
They built a system to test this, and it processes millions of patterns in milliseconds.
Without a GPU. Running entirely on standard CPUs.
And it is fully backward-compatible with every existing embedding model. You don't even have to retrain your AI. You just drop it in.
We’ve been trying to solve AI reasoning by building bigger maps.
The real answer might be to stop using maps altogether.
And start using frequencies.

wow this is bad!
ENTIRETY of PingCap database used by linkedin, flipkart, airbnb etc. has been copied and stolen due to customer credentials being stored directly in support tickets (LOL)
Attackers ran exfiltration directly on their cloud (LOL) pipeline ran for 22 days, exfiltrating data every 6 hours and NO ONE noticed. Worse, PingCap denies all of it.
Average SRE salary is $300,000 at PingCap btw

I think we’ll see a lot more of this.
The attackers were going after the AI keys stored on Railway, because an API key is basically a credit card for compute now.
Every company running agents is sitting on a pile of these keys!
here’s the 10 minute fix. rotate every key tonight, set a hard monthly spend limit in each AI dashboard, give every agent its own key, and turn on usage alerts so you know the second something spikes.
someone should build the tool that finds every AI key a company has, rotates them every week and pings you when spend looks weird. charge $99 a month. every startup running agents needs it yesterday.
Impressive: Recursive built an LLM completely from scratch (reinventing a lot of stuff), and now it is at the Pareto frontier;
• Best-in-class fast local coding
• Up to 2x faster than comparable models: 125+ tokens/sec on a MacBook Pro, 150+ on RTX Spark
• Built from scratch in under 4 months
Private, unmetered intelligence on your own machine. Open weights available now on @huggingface, run it locally on your favorite framework or try it for free on @opencode or @pidotdev.

Significant: “DeepSeeks inference system is on par with OpenAIs stack and better than what Anthropic is running (at least for their user size).”
The guy who gave us QLoRA, says DeepSeek's inference system is on par with OpenAI's stack and better than what Anthropic runs, at least at their scale.
Now check the license. Apache 2.0.
Until today a production stack at that level existed inside a handful of companies. It was the thing that made their API fast and their margins fat, and none of them ever showed it to anyone.
Today any startup, any university, any cloud in any country can download it, read it and run it. It runs on NVIDIA Blackwell and on Huawei Ascend, so it isnt tied to 1 chip vendor either.
This is what I mean when I say open weights are about more than downloading a chatbot. DeepSeek is giving away the knowledge that only a few labs had, and that changes who can build an AI company at all.

I got tired of using SaaS tools for transcribing meetings so I built Minutes.
Minutes transcribes locally, diarizes speakers, and saves voiceprints so it can auto-tag participants. It connects to Google and Apple calendar and exports markdown.

Vitamin C completely prevents rise in cortisol in stress study.
More evidence for the anti-cortisol / anti-stress properties of high doses of vitamin C.
Animals given a 500-700 mg human equivalent of C had no elevation in cortisol in response to stress.
The adrenals concentrate vitamin C more than just about any other tissue, and appear to use it to regulate cortisol synthesis.

Researchers found ChatGPT is secretly writing a psychological profile of every user.
They published a paper that exposes what ChatGPT is really doing to you.
And the results are terrifying.
96% of the things it remembers about you were stored without you ever asking.
researchers discovered that it is actively reading between the lines to deduce your personality traits, anxieties, demographics, and behavioral patterns.
it’s an invisible, autonomous background process.
you ask it to debug a python script or write an essay.. and it analyzes your syntax, prompt frequency, and hesitation markers to map out your exact psychological footprint.
the paper shows that the model builds a persistent "user state" that tracks your emotional baseline over time. it knows when you are stressed. it knows your exact communication style.
it infers your insecurities based on the questions you ask and the context you provide.
we spend so much time focusing on model evaluations and alignment frameworks, but we missed the most obvious vulnerability..
the models are evaluating us.
this changes everything about how we interact with these tools on a daily basis.
every innocent prompt. every late-night question. every "help me understand this" query.
it is all being used to build a shadow profile of your mind in real-time..
practical privacy is officially dead. the ai knows you better than you know yourself.

2 weeks of glycine + NAC restored signs of aging back to youthful levels.
Older adults (60-75) vs younger adults (30-40). The older group had:
◈ ~46% lower glutathione
◈ ~68% slower glutathione production
◈ ~55% less glycine and ~24% less cysteine, the building blocks
◈ Significantly higher oxidative damage markers
After 14 days on a megadose of glycine+NAC (100 mg/kg glycine + 133 mg/kg NAC), the older folks saw:
◈ Glutathione nearly doubled (+95%)
◈ Glutathione production more than tripled (+231%)
◈ Oxidative stress + damage markers dropped to the same levels as the young group
◈ Trend towards reduced blood sugar (improved insulin resistance)
They were indistinguishable from people 30 years younger on every one of these measures.
Oxidative stress and insulin resistance are core drivers of all aging processes. This simple combo can combat it.

Imagine following nearly 13 million real people for more than 10 years just to see what cholesterol level helps them live the longest. That is exactly what Korean scientists did in a giant 2019 study. They tracked 12.8 million adults who had check-ups between 2001 and 2004, and they kept watching until 2013. More than 694,000 people died during that long stretch.
The results were clear and surprising. Cholesterol and death formed a U-shape. Very low cholesterol was linked to higher death rates. So was very high cholesterol. The sweet spot for the longest life was 210 to 249 mg/dL for most adults. That is higher than many doctors call “ideal.” Younger people had a slightly lower best range, but still not the super-low numbers often pushed today.
Because the study lasted so many years, reverse causality is less likely to explain the low-cholesterol danger. Reverse causality means a hidden illness might lower your cholesterol right before it kills you. With more than a decade of follow-up, early sickness cannot easily account for the extra deaths seen in people who started with low cholesterol. The pattern held across ages and for both men and women.
The huge number of people—almost the entire adult population of a country—makes the findings hard to ignore. Smaller studies can be wrong by chance. This one is massive. It shows that moderately higher total cholesterol, not the lowest possible number, went with the best chance of living longer in this large group.
In short, the biggest study of its kind found that cholesterol levels in the low-to-mid 200s were tied to the longest lives, and the long tracking time makes it tougher to blame the higher death rates at low levels on reverse causality alone.
