Britain does have a political donation scandal. But it involves LABOUR 70%+ of trade union members DO NOT support the Labour party So why is their money being used to fund Labour? Reform has more supporters than Labour in Unite & GMB, so why are these 2 unions amongst Labour's biggest donors? Taken together, trade unions make up approx. 50% of Labour's donations. How can this possibly be justified? Where is the democratic accountability? And why is the media silent about this? The chart below, taken from a Times poll in May 2026, shows levels of support for political parties amongst trade union members.
