Completely agree. Shortcuts is a hidden gem on iOS. Crazy powerful… especially now with all the AI APIs.
Though imo still a bit too cumbersome for most to use well. Really think Apple should double down on the feature and reduce complexity e.g. Mac app, 'prompt to shortcut', marketplace, etc.
More generally: think developers should get into the habit of building Shortcut templates for their users.

It runs fully locally meaning it’s free, secure and private
Build with otherwise restricted on-device APIs like taking screenshots, recording audio, and the local APIs of 3rd party apps
Use a mix of low-code and no-code
Trigger with keyboard shortcuts, menu bar items, iPhone action button or even double tapping the back of your phone
Distribute to anyone iPhone or Mac with a link
Combined with an LLM that can understand images / audio it gets pretty wild!

Day 3 with the @Apple #VisionPro … I got stuck at the house because of the LA floods so I couldn’t go into the edit room. So I edited #WickedMovie remotely with my editor #MyronKerstein on @EvercastUS and it worked flawlessly. I need to repeat this out loud. I was in it for HOURS editing on a virtual giant screen (the size of a real movie screen) a major motion picture from the comfort of my house. With no headache. I can’t tell you what a revelation this was. This is big stakes cutting edge productivity work that is available to use today! I am still shook. I don’t think people fully realize the amount of workflow breakthroughs I think the VisionPro will lead to. This is not an ad. Just me being excited about technology and creativity. Hail to the nerds and artists.
