I don't think the Alabama offense is a great matchup for the LSU defense because Russell is a polished passer AND can do damage with his legs.
But Tennessee and UGA have shown some ways to limit him, and LSU has two weeks to prepare. Probably see some new looks from LSU defense
LSU has been giving Dominick McKinley way more snaps after McKinley only played 4 snaps at Kentucky and LSU struggled to stop the run
McKinley has played 50 snaps in last two games. He made 3 stops and logged a sack at Auburn.

Good block from Aliou Bah here. LSU runs insert, he seals off the gap. LSU's OL is also getting better at dealing with movement.

Sam Leavitt LEADS THE COUNTRY in passer rating, yards per attempt, and PFF grade when facing a top-35 defense
Elite QB, and if LSU goes on a run in November, he'll be in the Heisman conversation
Alabama has suddenly been struggling to run the ball again. Run game was very good through first 6 weeks.
Possible that the center is just that important, but something to watch moving forward
Sam Leavitt has added 12 more points of value passing the ball than the No. 2 ranked passer in the SEC. Leavitt is everything that LSU paid for, and he’s far better than he was at Arizona State
Kiffin and Co have built another star quarterback

Not sure why LSU fans are dunking on Frank Wilson after Ole Miss struggled to run the ball on the road vs the best defense in the SEC
Last week Ole Miss ran the ball at will vs a very good run defense
It was just a bad week
This is fair, and LSU will have to prove it can beat a good team in November. Nobody is claiming that LSU has an impressive win

Since it seems Kentucky fans have found my replies for the 2nd week in a row telling me my model is garbage (and still don't understand the difference between power rating and resume ratings), might as well use the opportunity to glaze myself
On @PDawg206 CFB Picker:
- 3rd overall on total model quality
- 1st overall on ATS vs both close & open
- 1st overall on CLV
On @CFB_Data Pick 'Em Contest:

Kentucky would have very strong argument to be ranked No. 1 in College Football Playoff rankings
Best strength of record, and I think Kentuckys resume is better than Miami’s right now
Ohio State would have an argument too, though
SEC Teams | Adjusted Points Per Drive
• Florida's offense is good
• Ole Miss and Texas are both top-5 teams in the SEC, and both playoff contenders
• Kentucky and Tennessee are good, but probably not good enough to make CFP runs
• Georgia, Bama, LSU top 3 teams in SEC in my opinion
this is why we have standings AND predictive metrics
I know games are what matters. I think Kentucky should be ranked 1 in the CFP Poll if it dropped now
that doesn't mean I think Kentucky will be better than LSU moving forward, good news is that we'll have games to find out
Replying to @rozenwill
The standings, based on the results of games actually played as opposed to predictive metrics, suggest otherwise.
Sam Leavitt's PFF grade is better than any other QB in the SEC
The only SEC QB with a better QBR than Sam Leavitt is Georgia's Gunner Stockton
SEC adjusted EPA/play. 1st graphic all FBS games. Second only SEC play.
• On paper, LSU is elite. We'll see if the Tigers can back it up in November.
• I still think the Ole Miss offense is very good
• Kentucky offense moving in the right direction
• Texas and Tennessee will need the defense to carry
I’m not sure we watched the same game
