Bet Bash was great and always lovely to meet new people and see people we already gamble with. The most striking difference this year was the more insular nature of the event as everyone shifts away from moving and towards PMs which makes conversations a lot more interesting.
Also I dabbled at a bit of AP slot play and it's hilarious that once you know a little, you can't not see the hoards of AP players lurking around every Frankenstein machine. I reckon that's a $20-25/hr grind. Some dude sat behind two elderly women on Buffalo Ascension for 20 mins
The seminars this year were fantastic too, genuine alpha from @andrewcourt1 @PlusEVAnalytics and @d_feustel (who assured us if we badgered @spanky enough we'd get a spreadsheet out of it...). @tomwaterhouse hosting Bernard highly entertaining. Thank you all.
I am just about over it now, but we had Group F highest scoring group @ 16/1. Big amounts (like 7th or 8th best day ever). Going into last day 8 goals = win, 9 = dead heat, 10 we lose. These MF'ers...
It's absolutely absurd they got Henry, Beckham, and Messi for a crisps advert and it's absolute cringe. WALKERS? IN MIAMI? stfu
I became a dad this year and as a result have three shoe in reality TV outcomes for you. Pleasure.
1) George - Strictly Come Dancing
2) Jasmin - Great British Bake Off
3) Traitors - Celebrity Traitors
A Sunday in October 2007. Second year of university and bankroll around $2-3k from SNGs. Chatting in a 2+2 MTT IRC. Offer stakes in $55 @ 70/30 to anyone. One guys Sharkscope wasn't as bad as the rest so offer him in SM. He wins, and pays. Lost most in Vegas following summer.
Everyone having a bit of a laugh with McTominay/OG in the anytime goalscorer market. Opta has it as McTominay, UEFA as OG. Watch this space and sweat with me the £21 I managed to bet at 2.26 🥱
The bet got voided, wonder if I got anti-freerolled. I guess we will never know. @BetfairExchange
The Scottish system of offers over and anchoring to (mandatory) home report values breaks so easily when economy goes up the shitter. Agents are incentivised to lower offers over amount to draw more attention, surveyors to keep HR values high to appease clients.
The outcome? Hardly any market clearing transactions because sellers "think they can get more" even when buyers are clearly more limited in high rate environment. Just allow the house prices to fall and manage some actual expectations for the sellers.
