Digesting #BCElection2026 & worrying about what it means for DRIPA, truth, justice and reconciliation, Indigenous land rights, & our human rights obligations.
Waking up to messages like this is exactly why.
We must work even harder to resist the erosion of Indigenous rights.

If you live in BC and voted Conservative don’t start whining on X when things get bad. And they will fast. Because there’s been thousands of examples on this platform from provinces with Conservative governments to learn from. Live with your regret and STFU about it.

The BC Conservatives presented a platform riddled with mistakes that will result in deep cuts to health care. And now, they are not showing up at all, hoping to escape questions until the election. Not nearly good enough. teapawt.net/bcndp/status/211301552…

BCers, if you like what PM Carney is doing for BC (and we do in spades according to polls), vote for Eby’s NDP. He’s been a surprisingly effective partner for the federal Libs and that makes a massive difference in our lives. If you want roadblocks, walls & pushback, vote BC Con.

I’m not an NDPer but I gladly voted BC NDP because I’m not stupid and I’m seeing the revolting things happening in Alberta and Ontario by their collapsing provincial govts. The only way to block MapleMAGA and aligning with Trυmp in this particular election is voting BC NDP.

If the BC Cons win the election, here’s what will happen: they will say, “The books were even worse than they told us,” and this will occur:
- austerity
- cuts
- new user fees/tolls/higher insurance rates
- social/human rights/indigenous strife & culture wars

I can't believe I am writing this out: It is not immoral to be gay. It's heart breaking to me to know there is a MLA in this province who disagrees with this. #bcpoli

Who is the racist, ableist idiot in the video harassing a Filipino woman and a child with down syndrome.
He is far too comfortable to be acting like this. He needs to be brought down a peg.

If Carney pulls that off it’d be incredible.
It would allow:
-Canadians to visit and *work in* the EU/EEA visa free.
-Canadian defense companies to be a priority provider in Europe.
-Europeans to have visa free tourism in Canada and accelerated immigration.
-Open up Canada to competition in banking which is currently a monopoly.
-Expand free trade agreements in the EEA which has a very different product footprint than Canada.
All while not taking on the economic risk of having the Euro because it’s only an associated member.
It benefits Europe.
But it REALLY benefits Canada.
Anyone who has anything bad to say about this is parroting talking points without understanding any of the economic or policy impacts.
