Shaquille O'Neal pays emotional tribute to Ernie Johnson following his retirement announcement
"When I was a youngster, there were three guys as a basketball fan I loved to hear talk: Bill Raftery, Dick Vitale, and Ernie Johnson."
"I got the opportunity to come here and work for you, and I only came here because you were here. You are the controller of this thing people call a circus."
"Without you, it's going to be very, very difficult. I never thought this day would happen."
"I appreciate you, I love you, and thank you. We've had a lot of great years together, and thank you for everything, brother."

If that’s his last outing of the year, what an amazing season for Bryan Baker.
41 regular season saves. 1.44 ERA.
10 postseason innings. 0 runs allowed.
One of the best relief pitching seasons in Rays history.

The Rays made a heck of a run in 2026. The team was given just a 1.1% chance to make the World Series at the start of the season and made it all the way to the Fall Classic. There, they ran into a Brewers team that swept the back-to-back World Series champion Dodgers and just won the first championship in franchise history. Milwaukee had the National League Cy Young award winner in Jacob Misiorowski and two of the best World Series performances ever from 22-year-olds in Jackson Chourio and Cooper Pratt, while William Contreras was unstoppable. We don't know what's ahead for the 2027 season, but it was so fun watching the Tampa Bay Rays compete this year. With the talent already on the roster and how deep their farm system is, this team is going to be good for a very long time. Thank you guys for supporting my work this season.

Well, this is the end of the road for @RaysBaseball in 2026.
Congratulations to the Brewers. As painful as it is to say, you were the best team in the postseason and deserved to win the series.
It’s easy to be angry right now and point fingers. I’m not going to do that. Absolutely no one expected anything out of the Rays this season. They exceeded every expectation. It was a wild ride and I loved every minute of it.
Of course, I’m disappointed with how it ended, but I guarantee you the players and coaches are more disappointed than we are. Only one team can truly be happy at the end of the season.
The future is very bright. New owners. A new @RaysForeverHome. Maybe a rebranding of some kind? And a young, talented team that will only get better with time.
Thank you, Rays, for a great 2026 season. See you in 2027!

The Yankees, losers in the ALDS, are really talking about players in the World Series ?

The Atlantic is the only NHL division without a single club under .500 points percentage:
Boston, .792
TB, .682
Ottawa, .667
Montreal, .636
Florida, .583
Toronto, .571
Detroit, .542
Buffalo, .500
I really did not understand pulling Drew that early given you discussed it with him and he was good to start.
48 pitches. Win or go home. 🥲
