I need all of you to drop what you’re doing and watch Masterplan, a movie that, I am not exaggerating, is the worst thing I’ve ever seen, featuring our beloved Stanley Tucci. I have never laughed so hard in my life. This beats The Room for sheer “so bad it’s good.”

I have found no one online talking about this movie. I need to share it with the world. I could keep talking about it but I think the easiest thing is if you watch the trailer and then the movie. It’s streaming on Amazon Prime. It is truly breathtaking. youtu.be/gc0t8AfMP6k?is=JQ0T…

Already seeing typos in this thread. If you point them out you have to legally watch this movie.

I think this take is confusing dropout with its most online fans on reddit and here. I don’t think you can look at what Demi, Jeremy, Paul and even Gianmarco (who yes is his own thing but he’s been on like three shows so far) are doing and call it play-it-safe.
it remains so so funny that CollegeHumor began as a low-budget, frequently mean sketch channel for edgy 20-somethings, and has become a wildly high-budget, play-it-safe improv platform with the most Care Bear audience imaginable

It’s giving
Nathan Fielder reveals to @WIRED that Elizabeth Holmes called him from prison last week: “She had not called me in over six months. I had not heard from her in any way…she asked how I was doing. I asked her if she had seen any stuff about the film coming out and how she felt about it. She told me she had seen some stuff, but most things she just isn’t seeing, so she’s heard things, but she hasn’t really read anything. And then, at the end, she said to me - ‘I trust you.’ I said, ‘OK, thanks.’”

Hot take but while these people are very very talented I think this also was a pivotal year for the industry where it was one of the last years the traditional SNL pipeline to mainstream success was still viable. If you’re good on SNL now it won’t really get you anything.
Never really thought about it but pound for pound career output/success post-SNL this might be the strongest cast ever assembled. Killer after killer

I cannot explain to you how spoiled I was and how I struggle in every workplace since.
Everyone wants to tell me how great their office pantry is but after the Bloomberg pantry nothing can surprise me. The Bloomberg pantry is the size of a small regional airport. The Bloomberg pantry has a fresh peanut butter machine and matcha on tap. The Bloomberg pantry makes the Thrive Capital pantry look positively soviet. Its memory will drive you to tears whenever you visit another newsroom
