Yesterday, I gave a talk at @_odsc titled "BI Is Dead. Dashboards Aren't." If AI can analyze data on its own, do we still need dashboards? Check out my slides for my take on this question and how we're approaching it at Squadbase! speakerdeck.com/shibatanaoto…

🎤 Our CEO Naoto Shibata is speaking at #ODSC ! "BI Is Dead. Dashboards Aren't." We once thought AI agents would replace dashboards. Our users changed our minds. Live demo included. Visit us at Expo booth #18 in San Francisco ✨ odsc.ai/west/speakers

#StartupNow @StartupNow_jp

Some of our customers told me, "we want to use our tool for GA analysis, but we don't have access to our GA account." Happens every time the GA account belongs to someone else 😂

Data cleaning 😂 Every time I clean data, I find the one field that really matters is missing and end up going back to the source.

Seeing this a lot. The AI recommendation happens off the record, and analytics only sees the search that came after.

The report landing while you're at the gym is the right order of things. Love this.

Exactly. A ping people learn to ignore is just another dashboard nobody opens. It has to know what the team actually cares about first.

Agents doing the reading is exactly it. The dashboard becomes context for the agent, and the human only hears about it when something moved.

Same movie, new ending maybe. Opening one now costs about the same as asking a chat, so the bottleneck is deciding to look. The dashboards stay useful as context. The data just has to speak first.

When opening a dashboard costs the same as asking a chat, neither one is the bottleneck anymore. Deciding to look is. No one wants to check more dashboards. Data should speak first instead.

Closing all the GA tabs feels so good. One watcher for every site is exactly the kind of quiet win that saves a Monday morning.

CRMs were made for humans clicking around. Agents need to query. Love that.

AI made building a dashboard almost free. Getting anyone to open it is still hard. How many of your dashboards did anyone open last month?

Technology amplifies decisions' is the line:) The cleanest dashboard in the world still waits for someone to open it.

Building Squadbase. Instead of you opening a dashboard and asking, your data tells you what changed and what to do next. Happy Wednesday. squadbase.dev/

Ha, guilty. The refresh habit is the tell that the dashboard isn't doing its job.

Great point that it's the consumer that changed, not the data. A human can shrug at an hour-old dashboard. An agent acting on it can't.

"Check the analytics every hour, just in case" hit a little too close.
