I attended a workshop run by @sciphd where I learned how to tailor my academic cv to a resume that would be more attractive to recruiters and hiring managers. They also hosted a networking reception where I awkwardly talked to scientists at local biotechs 3/n

I signed up for a @UWMadGSEd professional development workshop with @SciPhD about the Business of Science: Team Performance and Finance. Not gonna lie, it sounded pretty boring... until I learned IT'S GONNA BE LIKE @ABCSharkTank 🦈💸 I'm ready to channel my inner @LoriGreiner

Each year you can sense of relief the trainees feel during SciLhD when they learn to translate their skills into business language and realize they are competitive for industry jobs.
Say hello to new #MTCMember @sciphd providing career opportunities to scientists by making them "business-ready."

Self-taught, but it would probably have been easier to pay for a boot camp, I just didn’t have the $$. One of the important first things I did was attend a @sciphd workshop, it really helped me figure out how to market my existing skills. Of which you have many!

Really informative series offered virtually. I found analyzing a job ad particularly useful.
