One of the hardest working #Sluggers in the program!

All while hitting .364 with a .523 on base% through 14 games this summer. Preston is a true leadoff hitter that owns the box with his presence. He has a smooth glove on the defensive side, and is very baseball savvy.
Someone come get their leadoff hitter in the 2027 Class❗️

Wanting to win isn't enough. 🔥
Brian Kight nailed it.
If you're only in it for the trophy, you're already losing.
The grind. The pressure. The setbacks. The growth. Champions embrace all of it.
Which part tests you the most? 👇

Dean Smith said, "A coach's job is to be part servant in helping each player reach his goals within the team concept."
That’s leadership.
It’s not about control - it’s about service, care, and connection.

For years people believed a 4-minute mile was impossible. Then Roger Bannister did it. And suddenly… Others did too. Belief changes performance. The limits holding you back are often mental before they are physical. Your self-talk matters. Your mindset matters. Your belief
Summit City Sluggers retweeted
Confidence isn’t something you find. It’s something you train.
Your self-talk shapes your beliefs, your beliefs shape your actions, and your actions shape your results. Choose words that build you. Repeat them until confidence becomes your default.

It gets harder every level. That's the point.
Youth, High School, College, Pro.
Every level drops you right back at the bottom against better players.
You climb. Then you do it again. And Again.
And every hitter struggles with the mental part up there. Every one of them. (I know you think it's just you that struggles)
That's not the problem. That's the sign you're where you fought to be.
Better rosters, bigger stadiums, tougher arms across from you.
This is what you worked for. You wanted this. The struggle is the receipt.
Your whole job is the next level.
It's not supposed to be easy. If it was easy, the spot would already be taken.
So what are you gonna do about it? Get in or get out?
