Agnipath. At a joint services briefing on 19 June 2022, Lt Gen Anil Puri, Additional Secretary in the Department of Military Affairs, categorically rejected any rollback: “Why should it be rolled back? It is the only progressive step to making the country young… We are tinkering with Desh ki Raksha. There is no space.” He cited high-altitude health casualties, the Kargil Review Committee and Arun Singh Committee recommendations, and the need for a better mix of youthful energy (josh) and experience (hosh). He confirmed that all future recruitment below officer rank would occur exclusively through Agnipath and that the scheme was a long-pending reform. theprint.in/opinion/agnipath…

Why not offer military training to every Govt Officer to begin with ? To all IPS and para military forces at least ! कुछ भी !
VIDEO | Raipur: On the extension of Agniveer Scheme, Chhattisgarh Minister OP Chaudhary says, "There are many countries in the world where every individual is given military training. Similarly, with the vision that there should be a large number of trained military personnel within society, the Agniveer scheme was started with a grand vision. Now that a 2-year extension has been given, I congratulate and give my best wishes to all our Agniveer colleagues for this. And state governments are also coming up with different reservation policies to give them permanent jobs in their respective departments." (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

This is a Saryaki folk song. Saraiki is the first language of approximately 29 million people in Heeramandi. And they hate Punjabis though they live in Pak Punjab. #PKMKB

This is and should be one of the measures of successful command and should be part of annual appraisal
A significant milestone in the history of CRPF - 12 consecutive months (One Year) have passed without any Operational fatality in the force, the last operational fatality in the force being on Oct 30th 2025. This has happened after 47 Years (last such period ended in January 1979). Provision of latest & contemporary hardware, better training & strategic planning along with focus on post incident response including high speed evacuation of injured personnel to secondary and tertiary medical facilities has contributed immensely in achieving this milestone. It’s specially significant since this has happened while we continue to be deployed and engage intensely in all the major operational theatres achieving significant breakthrough results. We remain committed to keep the country peaceful & safe for all its citizens. @crpfindia

2) Kashmiri Pandits were killed as part of a drive for the Islamisation of Jammu and Kashmir. Nearly the entire population of kashmiri pandits were forced out of the Valley. That included my grandparents and other relatives.

As a neurosurgeon, let me tell you how frightening this injury actually is - an occipital compound depressed skull fracture treated with a WIDE craniotomy (outer staple line). What's scary isn't the fracture; it's what's adjacent to the damaged skull. The axe blows (that tree-branch scar at the center) hit right over the posterior superior sagittal sinus, a large vein that runs lengthwise between the 2 cerebral hemispheres and carries blood from the brain to the heart. Penetrating injuries to the sinus can carry upwards of a 40% morbidity/mortality - partially because a transection of the sinus can be difficult to repair and can result in extreme blood loss, venous air embolism, or thrombosis - all of which can be fatal. There's scary, and then there's the "you go to elevate the fracture and risk unroofing the sinus, losing 2 liters of blood in a minute" scary. The surgeons likely had their hands full and did an amazing job. Divine providence called many heroes into service that day. Damn fine work. धन्यवाद

So well articulated !
She was taken for a long ride. And using long face to find gaps to walk through. Someone used you. In a time period of 10 months only 14 objections. An average of three in two months. It is a Commission, not the editorial board of @IndianExpress where orders are passed, nothing is on file as to who gave information, who brought the information, who became the face to write the article, and who will hold the can when exposed. Commissioners and at that age, must have disagreements and discussions. A democratic process. And all this moves on files. It happens in good military organizations. Eventually a decision is taken in National Interests, not to make money, excite people with half truths. Don't sink low.

A letter by Allama Muhammad Iqbal arguing that his idea was of a Muslim province within the Indian federation further suggesting that the idea of Pakistan originated in Cambridge and nothing to do with him. Worth researching into this document.

Some virus in training system or in the period of incubation, the disease of corruption sets in very rapidly in the best intentioned. Try and reform yourself Indian Civil Service. The country will blame you and not politicians.
Before 🫡 And After 🤡 Context- :Kajal Meena an IIT Mandi graduate who topped RAS 2024 in the reserved category. She's shown proudly next to the SDM vehicle, portrayed as a success story of an IIT engineer cracking civil services through SC quota.she's caught red-handed in a bribery case shortly after joining as SDM. The clip shows her allegedly taking a ₹60,000 bribe (with reports of ₹4 lakh cash recovery).

Do you know why we add ₹1 extra to Shagun instead of giving an exact amount? Why ₹101 instead of ₹100, ₹501 instead of ₹500, or ₹1,001 instead of ₹1,000? 🪔 If you don’t know the beautiful significance behind this tradition, watch this video. 🙏

Old video. 2016. NDA. When I was invited to NDA for a lecture, following two traditions were relaxed. 1. I delivered talk in games rig in the Habibulla hall. Never happened before and after that. 2. My talk was deliberately kept on the evening prior to the X country day. That evening is always kept free for cadets to rest well before the run. Unprecedented, but I made sure that it happen. As a DE (direct entry from IMA), it was something unimaginable, even for me but when I get invited to deliver, I don't compromise & I don't allow anyone else also to interfere. For me giving my best is more important than pleasing the bosses. NDA was seeing unprecedented withdrawals. News paper reports were talking about harsh training, especially unofficial part. So, it was important to: 1. Have the best visible impact 2. Let the cadets understand the depth of hardships and why it's important. For cadets, lecture hall is a place to sleep. But I got so many messages from cadets that no one blinked the eye & many improved their timings in the X country next day. Jai hind 💪🇮🇳

Entertaining a nation and serving a nation are two different things. Be it Naseeruddin Shah, Diya Mirza, Prakash Raj or Jaya Bachchan, remember that fame doesn't make Bollywood actors and actresses an authority, and being an entertainer doesn't make them the national hero. Time to call out the hypocrisy. And I agree with this voice a 100%.
