Of course Stephen Fry would put this more eloquently, and his sapiosexual fans would silently weep tears of fierce yet dignified intelligence.

Important uprising in Paraguay against the free-market govt. Another Trump puppet crushed by their own corruption. It's a small country, but significant as it's a centre for money laundering by Latin America's right-wing narco elites & crypto bros.

If your ideology is so toothless it can't do anything about Gaza, of what use is that ideology? Liberalism is powerlessness.
I admit that I completely broke down today. I cried uncontrollably. I couldn’t hold myself together after witnessing what I saw with my own eyes. Today, we went to film a journalistic report inside the displacement tents along the seashore. I swear, what we witnessed was beyond what any human being should have to endure. I saw men crying bitterly. Men I had never seen cry when they lost their children or when their homes were destroyed. Today, I saw them crying because they were powerless to do the simplest thing: protect their children from the water and the cold. We spoke to families who told us they had spent the entire night carrying their children in their arms after floodwater covered the floors of their tents and soaked their mattresses. They couldn’t find a single dry place to put their children. They couldn’t even give them a few hours of sleep. I saw children no older than five, without proper clothes to protect them from the cold, without heating, and without a dry place to sleep. Children shivering inside tents that cannot keep out the rain, protect them from the wind, or provide even the most basic sense of safety. What more must happen for this world to act? How much more suffering must people endure before someone remembers that they are human beings? I am sick of this world. I am sick of its hypocrisy and empty slogans. To hell with a world that talks endlessly about human rights while leaving children to drown inside their tents. To hell with everyone who has witnessed this suffering and chosen silence, and to hell with the governments and institutions that have the power to act but continue to turn their backs on us.

I was once at an academic conference in the US in the mid-2010s and someone brought up legal standards for drone attacks bc “what are you going to do? Put Obama in jail?” And everyone laughed but I loudly said “yes”. I’ll never forget the way that room went dead-quiet 😂
Replying to @stelzner_n1150
Obama bombed a hell of a lot more than that. Are you going to put him in prison?

I don’t know. It feels obscenely stupid to start posting videos of my loved ones in Gaza right now, as their tents flood with rainwater in the middle of the night, as they sleep in damp clothes on soaked mattresses, and to think for a f*cking second that these images might move someone to save their babies, to protect what little dignity they have left. As if this time could be any different from last year, or the year before that, or the year before that. As if people around the world, especially those with the power to do something, might suddenly be moved by a family’s tent flooding with rainwater when the sight of hundreds of babies whose bodies were shredded by Israeli bombs was not enough to put an end to this. How many more times must we expose the suffering of the people we love, strip them of their privacy in their most vulnerable moments, in the desperate hope that someone, somewhere, might finally care enough to act?

Democrats are building a class of Arab and Muslim politicians similar to the one they've built with Black politicans. A minority overseer of capitalism and imperialism who protects the interest of white supremacy while exploiting their identity to create the illusion of progress

Who in this “blue wave” is calling for the US to end the blockade and sanctions regime against Cuba? Who in this “blue wave” is demanding that oil be shipped and allowed into Cuba? Who in this “blue wave” is demanding the release of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores?
