its amazing how long we have tolerated ssh. mosh is slightly better sure, but we deserve better. - survive network changes (quic) - full modern vt - scrollback - kitty graphics protocol - clipboard (duplex, any format (pasting images in claude)) - files (no need for scp)

i assume rex (superlogical) solves all of the above, and i predict it is going to change the game forever

if you've ever tried pasting an image in claude code running on a remote server that you copied on your localhost, you know the pain. t3 code has largely absolved all my terminal usage but who knows, if software was good i would use the terminal more

the opportunity cost of not working on maximally fun and exciting things is too huge having fun is like a 10x multiplier on your creativity, intelligence, charisma and just overall lifeforce so everytime you are not engaging in maximal fun you are missing out on that upside and 0.1x’ing your life discipline and routine only gets you so far, it only ever helps you sustain your baseline or maybe a slight boost so 1.0-1.2x your lifeforce so there’s no time to waste, go and do the fun thing and 10x your lifeforce

people stopped reviewing code because github sucks. even on the rare days that it works, it is slow, ugly and you need to manually parse cumbersome line diffs diffy is a cross platform desktop app, fast, beautiful and it uses a custom semantic diff algorithm.

diffy had its own rust gui framework from the get go but i moved it out into its own repo called quark. it probably deserves its own tweet tbh github.com/seatedro/quark

We’ve developed the world’s most complete megakernel framework. It can perform entire training runs, serve inference, play video games, and even do all three simultaneously in a single kernel.

Highlights by the Pierre Computer Company. A new library for highlighting your diffs and code. Written in web assembly text. 70 languages, ~300x faster than Shiki. You can read more about it here (pierre.computer/writing/on-h…)

Linus Torvalds once said a dev should be “retroactively aborted.” The crime: reading ONE BYTE AT A TIME with a syscall per byte. Toxic? Maybe. But he gave the fix: “just use seq_printf().” Brutal AND actionable. Most people are neither. Hard feedback is what ships the kernel.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The content has been rewritten with AI. It has a 100% score in Pangram: pangram.com/history/e544e0… Linus’ original ‘retroactively aborted’ email is shorter: lkml.org/lkml/2012/7/6/…

capy desktop does ascii better
We've been working hard on making the Claude Code desktop app great for running lots of sessions side by side. It's now much quicker to start sessions, easier to split work across a few, and you can always see what each of them is doing. Here’s what's new:
