Kane Hodder, who played Jason Voorhees in four 'FRIDAY THE 13TH' films, once refused to film a scene where Jason kicks a dog.
Hodder insisted that Jason would never hurt an innocent animal, explaining:
โJason doesn't harm animals. He wants to get revenge on summer camp workers for letting him drown as a child.โ
He told director Rob Hedden that Jason might slaughter people, but he wouldn't hurt a dog.
Having played Jason twice by then, Hodder felt he finally had โa little cloutโ to challenge the script and protect his understanding of the character.
