added a bunch of new features to my quake1 MD1 viewer (SQV) - added simple ui - added animation support - shows the skins - a bunch of key commands to trigger the actions

I have replaced Tracy (a giant/complex C++ profiler) with Spall.h (a single header C profiler) and i am so happy! it just works well with the clang's auto instrumentation with a little gluing.

The audacity to feed Machinarium assets to AI, make AI slop animations, and call it a love letterโ€ฆ Love letters are supposed to be handwritten. This looks disgusting and has nothing to do with us or our craft.

At Devuan, we're not driven by profit or marketing. We recognize the achievements of other communities through evidence, not hype. That's why we salute @OpenBSD on its 8.0 release: an outstanding community effort putting users' security first.
Welcome to the world @OpenBSD 8.0 ! considering how AI-slop coding has taken over the Linux kernel, recent Ubuntu derive into consumer-grade and security flaws since the systemd avalanche, OpenBSD is my top choice for mission critical headless servers.

i write code and track issues localy! no AI, i don't care if it's slow, i enjoy it:

We Iranians have a famous saying which goes like this: "Palestine is the common denominator of all the motherfuckers in the world!" and right now you can see this everywhere!

since using #Tracy in C codebase is a bit annoying i decided to switch to #Spall, i can see some gaps in the traces which i can't explain, i don't know if it's the thread being stalled or Spall missing something or i am doing something wrong:

I've been using my own adhoc C code generator/template system! C doesn't have generics, so you either have to use opaque types inside containers (void*), or use crazy C macros, in both cases you lose type checking and debug visibility to some great degrees!

Torvald's been doing linux for ~40 years & he's mastered his craft so much that it became his 2nd nature! him vibe coding linux is justified, you wouldn't see him vibe coding a game or something outside his field of expertise! so my friend stop vibing code and start writing code

Imagine you could create your dream product in a blink of an eye... BUT to make it successful, you must support it for at least 5 years, full time, daily. Sincerely, would you really invest +5 years of your life on that product? Now stop imagining.

finally i decided to root my android phone and turn it into a local (git) server and host all my source codes there, i have also delete a whole bunch of my personal stuff from github! if i'm working on my own stuff on my spare time why would i even share it online for clankers

writing code means willingness to deal with complexities firsthand and coming up with original thoughts! those who delegate this to AI are basically ceasing themselves from growing as an engineer! honestly most of the vibe coders never really cared about quality anyway!

Lmao Anthropic used my photo without credit/permission, never beating the stealing allegations. Theyโ€™re in the middle of MULTIPLE LAWSUITS for exactly this, yet do not care.

i don't wanna talk for 100% of all engineers, except for a minority which have fully mastered their craft, the rest of us need to keep writing code if we want to understand concepts, there are a ton of revelations and understandings that only occur when we actively write codes

except if you write web apps (backend/frontend) then there is nothing of value to learn in this area of software engineering, then offloading the coding part to clankers is the right choice

Cult leader speaking
Every software developer should own a potato PC. It's the easiest way to ensure your application is fast enough. Put your agents to work within it and watch the weight drop. There's no reason a machine from ten years ago shouldn't fly like superman.
