Because an entire gang of Elvis impersonators or Clowns or the whole cult of bodymodding furries are so much more down to earth and gritty for Cyberpunk, right?
Studio Trigger’s novel ideas for Cyberpunk as a setting are usually incredibly stupid and make it worse not better. CDProjekt Red would never write something as stupid as the Cyberskeleton or Project Capricorn, and it is excessively obvious that these things were just barely over the threshold of what CDPR would tolerate.

makoto shinkai is such a bad director he even got tatsuki "I like everything" fujimoto to discredit his films
Tatsuki Fujimoto (Chainsaw Man) doesn't see Director Makoto Shinkai (Your Name, Suzume and more) as the New Hayao Miyazaki (Studio Ghibli)
"He continues to create works set in Japan is because he believes that storytelling set in Japan is the arena where he can compete most effectively. I think that’s fine, and a game-like world isn’t wrong in its own right either."
