Finally able to share some great news today! I am so excited to announce that Moment, has been acquired by the leading creator platform @Patreon!
It's a culmination of years of work by the team, investors, and my amazing co-founders @arjunmeta and @NigelEgrari

over the past week Seam (YC'S20) has "notified me" that they're taking back _VESTED_ shares. Uhhh no you aren't
fine tuning unlocks so many more enterprise use cases
now that you can fine tune gpt-4o, it will be interesting to see what people decide to use between
open source (Llama 405) vs closed provider (OpenAI)

“Today, we’re launching fine-tuning for GPT-4o, one of the most requested features from developers. We are also offering 1M training tokens per day for free for every organization through September 23.”
Been helping out a late stage company
The adoption of AI tools there is painfully slow
They literally JUST got their teams access to use ChatGPT while coding. And only 1 in 10 devs are actually using it.
Mind-blowing how some are still sleeping on AI. We're still so early
definitely one of the top startup finance talks I've seen
wild that videos like this are available for free online
tldr: build a strong business with a good contribution margin before scaling it
acquihiring-hiring billion dollar founders to get around the FTC is crazy
Replying to @nikunj
Getting a bunch of DMs, apparently people don't seem to fully grok what's happening. Here's the gist:
- Current FTC team has made acquisitions basically impossible
- Large incumbents want good AI talent to shepherd their AI plans
- Incumbents strike a deal with the founders and select employees to join the company
- Since they can't acquire, incumbents do a "licensing" agreement that pays the startup some money to make them look the other way
- These startups may still end up ok, but have lost the best talent to the incumbents
- Employees that didn't go to these incumbents will most likely leave and hold a bag of options that are definitely not worth what they should be

Super interesting approach that Character AI is taking to simplify prompting on their platform
We're trending to a world where advanced prompting is considered "technical"
Power users (non-technical) spend an hour to craft a niche chatbot
rest of their users benefit
Thrilled to share that we're open sourcing our innovative approach to prompt design! Discover how Prompt Poet is revolutionizing the way we build AI interactions in our latest blog post: research.character.ai/prompt…
oh wow github models feels very compelling
this will be a pretty big hit to hugging face
as a developer, I like would pick github > huggingface long term
Had a deep chat with a creative director about AI x media
His take:
AI will make human creativity MORE valuable, not less.
"When everyone's a superhero, your unique vision becomes the superpower."
Master the tools, but don't lose your inner creativity. That's the real edge.
wow this is a gamechanger.
we're only accelerating faster
