Now that Mahomes has won #MVP, I'm going to start sharing some of my favorite Mahomes Slander that I've been saving up since he was drafted on 4/27/17. We'll start the thread with this one:

Kansas City Chiefs acquiring Kenneth Walker was a fantastic signing, he is an elite player. However, in terms of the Chiefs overall success long term he represents wall paper being put over a moldy wall. This is not a Monday after a loss overreaction. I think of people are honest they knew 5-0 start was fools gold. Very bad opponents and K9’s brilliance shielded the truth. They have not meaningfully updated the scheme or talent around Patrick. I am dismayed that once again, and after a 6-11 season, that the staff and front office failed to understand how deep their issues were and still are. By bringing back an old face at offensive coordinator instead of a younger voice from outside the tree to over haul the scheme entirely. By signing older and less capable players based on comfort level with the staff and scheme and then giving those players meaningful snaps over younger and more athletically explosive players. By drafting a cornerback and a nose tackle in round one and two. By allocating huge portions of cap space to again and under performing cogs from prior championship years. I believe this is likely an 11-6 or 10-7 team Many will blame it on “luck” and point to the Thornton injury (no serious team relies their success on a non elite player like Thornton) or point to Rice (he has been injured and otherwise unavailable his entire career) or point to Simmons (a risk they knowingly took) and will continue to use outcomes as shallow copes versus looking at the process and philosophies that have gotten us here, under performing with Patrick Mahomes on his prime The oldest staff in the NFL: - Refusal to move on from outdated scheme - Refusal to underperforming coaches (Toub) - Refusal to move on from aging players and to play younger players - Perpetual mis-allocation of draft resources at the top of draft (FAU, Worthy, Simmons, Clyde, Skyy, Breeland Speaks, Woods??)

Nearly every penalty statistic from the last 9 years suggests the Chiefs have been officiated harsher than any other team… Here’s another example. 🤦🏽‍♂️ Apparently Jawaan Taylor magically learned how to line up correctly the second he started playing for another team again. 🤔

if you watched the NFL and thought something didn't feel right, you're not alone: #1 most flags in over a decade thru 4 weeks, refs are impacting the most CRITICAL moments of games most: #1 most red zone penalties per game by offenses in history #1 most penalties on 3rd/4th downs in the second half of games in history and 17 touchdowns nullified by penalty! (vs only 5 in 2025 & 4 in 2024) Refs are impacting the most important moments of games unlike we've ever seen before in the NFL, and even some of the coaches are speaking up full analysis and historical data: sharpfootballanalysis.com/an…

I’m not a fan of the roughing the passer calls. But acting like it’s just Mahomes means you aren’t paying attention or buy into some conspiracy. These were all called roughing the passer TODAY I don’t think the NFL is giving superstar treatment to Justin Herbert, Bryce Young or Kirk Cousins

R Mason Thomas basically saved the game here. If he doesn't get to Jones quick it's an easier throw, a first down and maybe FG range.

Hope he continues this bit into his 60s. The year is 2052, 64 year old Colin Kaepernick says he is fit and ready to play in the NFL and is just waiting for a team to call him up.
Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, 38, says he is still ready to play in the NFL and is just waiting for a team to call him up. "I have to do everything that is in my control to make sure that I'm prepared"

Kenneth Walker, with 12:43 remaining in the third quarter, in his first game in a Chiefs uniform... ...now has more rushing yards from under center (127) than any Chiefs RB in the last decade.
Kenneth Walker has 67 rushing yards from under center through the first half. This is the most for a Chiefs RB in *A FULL GAME* since *2019 Damien Williams* It's been SEVEN YEARS
