look the foundational problem with ethereum protocol design is that most of the people designing the protocol don't actually use ethereum themselves. you can't fix the right things if you don't use your own fucking product. you don't have enough skin in the game if you don't personally depend on the system you're designing & stand to lose money when it breaks. i understand, everything looks great from an ivory tower lol. things look very different when you're actually on the ground dealing with the consequences. if you don't use ethereum yourself but still think you're qualified to design its protocol, you're playing god with a system you don't have to live with and whose consequences you don't have to suffer.

EtherFi Cash adds a new way to send money
Users can now send money to each other using a personal Tag, which they can claim directly in the app
Key details:
- Each Tag is unique and can't be changed once claimed
- You can claim a Tag before KYC, but other users can only find you after verification
- You can save recipients for future transfers
- You can disable being found by your Tag
Minimum Tag length depends on membership:
- Core: 6 characters
- Luxe: 5 characters
- Pinnacle: 4 characters
- VIP: 3 characters
The feature is available on the web and in the latest version of the mobile app

Stablecoin volume on @solana fell from $32T in December 2021 to $509B in July 2026. Down 98%. But the number that decline is measured against was never real.
What the peak actually counted
With stablecoin supply in the low billions, $32T meant thousands of turns per dollar per month. That was arbitrage bots and market makers. Near-zero fees made the volume free to produce, and the metric counted every transfer as economic activity.
The honest baseline
January 2025, peak of the memecoin cycle: $2.3T . From there to July 2026 is down 78%. That one compares live activity to live activity.
What's left
$509B a month with no speculative layer on top. Metrics fall when they stop measuring noise. The question isn't how much Solana lost, but how much of it ever existed.
