I stay away from WNBA discourse bc tbh a lot of the takes are irrational.
People want this business to be run on feelings and emotions, and it’s just not realistic 🤷🏽♀️
Y'all really don't get this business, and it pains me.
Why influencer marketing is dead in 14 minutes.
I saw Dru Hill last month, and they DID NOT perform “Never Make a Promise”, “These Are The Times”, or “5 Steps”.
And Sisqo performed “Thong Song” solo, and not “Incomplete”. I was FURIOUS.
They coming back to ATL this week, so imma give this another go.
I really had the opportunity to pitch Drake, but my coworkers said I couldn’t 🙄
This man literally came over to our group of three. He waited to be introduced to each of us. Got our names and shook our hands.
And I couldn’t pitch myself 😩 Y’all know I was BIG mad.
I will never forget how you all let that hater from Compton mischaracterize Drake.
He's never spoken about this side of his life.
Most people know @DRUSKI as one of the funniest people on the internet. His videos have been watched over a billion times, and more than 40 million people follow him.
But it all started in Georgia, making funny skits on his phone.
Those videos eventually went viral and eventually caught Drake’s attention. Since then, Druski has gone from making people laugh online to building his own production company, hosting major awards and working alongside people like Kevin Hart.
But we wanted to know where the funny came from.
Because when you go back far enough, you find a story I don’t think most people would expect.
From a young age, Druski learnt to read the mood of a room incredibly quickly. When things became difficult at home, comedy became a way of changing the energy around him.
As we spoke, I realised he was doing the same thing with me.
He would notice tiny changes in my expression, stop mid-answer and ask what I was thinking.
After nearly 700 conversations on this podcast, very few people have done that.
It made me understand his comedy differently.
We spoke about:
- The message from Drake that transformed his career.
- What was really happening inside his childhood home?
- Why his brother’s life went in a very different direction.
- Having a gun pointed at his head and deciding to change.
- Netflix and Amazon rejecting him but then came crawling back.
- How comedy saved him from prison.
There’s a moment in the conversation where we tell Druski that our dark sides are often connected to our light sides.
We think his story is an extraordinary example of that.
The awareness that helped him navigate difficult moments as a child became part of the thing that millions of people now find funny.
Behind the person you see online is someone far more thoughtful, ambitious and complicated than we expected.
This conversation changed the way we see Druski.
Out now on all platforms 👊🏾❤️
Sports industry is equally as nasty.
Tisha Campbell opens up about a conversation she once had about the percentage of good people in the industry and says everybody isn’t nice and everybody doesn’t want the best for you, as she reveals that she and her writing partner once conducted an experiment to see how many people in the industry were actually genuine and nice.
Tisha Campbell further explains how she and her writing partner both went to a big industry event with around 300 or more industry people and counted how many were genuine and nice, revealing that after the experiment was over, she only counted two people at the entire event who were actually genuine and nice, and those people were actor Flex Alexander and his wife, singer Shanice, and says the experiment taught her to stop being naïve and to stop looking at the world through rose-colored glasses.

I used to live in one of the more expensive high-rise apartments in Buckhead.
My neighbor told me units on her floor would have eviction notices on their doors showing $20K+ in unpaid rent, and the tenants would just be going about their merry lives right up until eviction day.
Atlanta metro area landlords filed 144,000 evictions last year, leading the nation in overall filings and eviction rates. fox5atlanta.com/news/why-met…
Yikes. Nike can’t catch a break 😅
ON SIGNS KYLIAN MBAPPÉ FROM NIKE
On has signed Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé away from $NKE, which had sponsored him since childhood, as the Swiss sportswear company expands into football.
$ONON plans to launch its first football boots in 2027, followed by kits, lifestyle products and trainers.
The company has also appointed Thierry Henry as director of football and plans to use its LightSpray technology, which uses robots to create lightweight shoe uppers, as part of the push.
On wants the Mbappé partnership to resemble its long-term relationship with Roger Federer, who became an investor in 2019 and helped the company expand into tennis.

Welp, it appears LeBron is getting $15M a year for that Polymarket deal.

SCOOP: LeBron James will be paid $15 million per year under his endorsement deal with Polymarket.
That's roughly $11 million more than the 76ers will pay him this season to play basketball.
