I preferred Arsenal when they were boring, not what they are now, horrible. #LIVARS
Amusing to watch the meltdown at the Telegraph. The headbangers will be left with The Express. Rupe always bets on the prevailing wind so they can forget him.
Got to say, watching the Matthew Perry documentary, I feel bad for the guy’s issues and the pain he had to deal with, but man he had terrible taste in music.
Images of Trump and Farage in two years time, sitting in Florida, bitching and whining they were screwed by the Establishment. Trump will be gone a couple of years after that, his body finally packing up. But Farage will be puffing cigs and drinking gin for many years to come.
Went to Loftus Road this afternoon. Great fun. Crowd were in excellent humour and the result for the Hoops was tremendous. Championship Football is where it’s at. £30 for the ticket. No VAR. #QPRSWA
Trump tells Europe to deport all immigrants or face revolution. How much longer do we have to listen to this fuckwad?
Interesting the contrast between the shallow Tate Britain show on the 90s and the details of the Russell Brand trial and the rumours about the injunction taken out by another 90s celebrity. A remarkably unthinking decade.

Thing is, the public knew the approach to care homes was disastrous. But the Govt lied and kept lying. Today they can try to claim innocence/ignorance to save their arses. But the truth is we know better. They fucked up and did everything to cover their tracks.

As the nights draw in, this is a satisfying novel. Part mystery, part lament, McEwan delivers his usual effortless storytelling. nytimes.com/2025/09/22/books…
Thing is, all these construction sites- the ballroom, the pool, the arch, the golf course… can be undone. What will take longer to repair is America’s image abroad amongst its allies.
Very long term plan but it’ll be interesting to see if these ideas start seeping into the mainstream in the face of continued social collapse. The alternative is turning countries into fortresses and the billionaires living in bunkers.
