Here's a snippet of the gorgeous theme tune from the 1993 Steven Spielberg film, Schindler's List. The music was originally written for one of my all-time violin heros, Itzhak Perlman.
This was recorded at a show I did with Cambridge Philharmonic earlier this year. 🎻🎶

All this neuroticism (& euphoria) about AI’s grand replacement of human musicians reveals a common fallacy about music in general.
That it is a passive object to be consumed and not a valuable human activity to be experienced.
After all, taking a car ride between seaside towns does not diminish the value of a coastal walk, watching the sun rise over a twinkling sea.

Will be interesting to see the impact of this. Music metadata has been a problem for 'classical' genres for a long time. Maybe this could be a substantial step towards solving those issues #appleclassical #AppleClassicalMusic

Donna Diana is on the music stand today … this is a fiendish little overture! It was written in 1894 by Austrian composer Emil von Reznicek. The fiddly notes are worth it … it’s a great tune!
