All the doomers selling crypto assets or Bitcoin based on AI fueled cyberattacks are going to wonder what the -$:);&!!! they were thinking in the near future.
Legacy systems are FAR more vulnerable and crypto is part of the SOLUTION…
Bitcoin, as @JasonPLowery has pointed out, is particularly well situated to securing valuable data.
It is unsurprising to see hash rate going up in advance of price, given the strategic implications…
What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people.
The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

The pendulum is swinging back in favor of singlesig wallets. As long as we have the tools to guarantee your seed was made correctly and remains secret and your signatures aren't leaking your private keys, there's very few reasons to complicate your setup with a multisig.

Around the world the protests are said to be triggered by “higher prices and less access to services”, and while those symptoms are real, the cause is hidden from the uneducated masses.
A look at this chart reveals the root cause: The State
Anything the state touches gets more expensive. They add demand without adding supply, and worse, their regulations and incentives cause supply destruction.
Anything the state stays away from, and markets can move more freely, prices go down, access becomes cheaper, food become more abundant.
The chart makes it simple to grasp:
Capitalism is the force that drove down the price of almost everything it touched. The state is the force that blew up the price of almost everything it captured.
And young people blame the first for the crimes of the second. Why?
Because the education comes from The State.
Public school, govt supported universities, gov funded media, training the masses to look at everything through an
“Oppressor v Oppressed” lens.
Because it’s never your fault, always the fault of someone, something, we need to be able to blame something.
And the State is never going to educate you to look at them as the problem, in fact… most inside The State aren’t even aware themselves.
But it all boils down to the most simplest of ideas, economics 101
Supply V Demand
So we need more supply than demand, and the chart shows us, we need less state intervention to get there.
Less gov funded demand
Less gov boots on supply

Netanyahu on Europe:
"I really get pissed off with them.
You don't have to bend to the winds of fashion of Islamist constituencies and the lunatic left.
Stand up. Be a leader. President Trump is a leader. Be a leader!
They're not leaders. They're so weak and passive, and they're basically trying to appease the worst fanatics in their realm."

.@GiorgiaMeloni, put the military on the streets and give them the authorization to use lethal force.
You are not Macron. Show the world how to put down these jihadist rioters and set the standard that in Italy this is not how to act.
Do not allow Italy to turn into another France. Show them. Military and lethal force NOW!

🚨Is the Fed now trapped?
US PPI just came in at 6.3% from a year ago against 5.3% expected, the highest in almost 4 years.
PPI tracks what businesses pay before products reach shoppers.
When it rises this fast, companies have to either raise prices or take lower profits. If they raise prices, consumer inflation goes up in the coming months.
In a single month, PPI rose 1.3% against 0.6% expected.
The monthly rise more than doubled the forecast, so inflation is speeding up, not just staying high.
Core PPI, which removes food and energy, rose 0.7% in the month against 0.3% expected, and 5.0% over the year against 4.4% expected. Energy is not the only cause.
Higher costs are spreading to other goods and services.
Consumers are still spending, but the quality of that spending looks weak.
Retail sales rose 0.8% against 0.3% expected, yet excluding gas and autos they rose only 0.2%.
Retail control rose just 0.1% against 0.3% expected. It looks like most of the headline rise came from higher gas and car prices, not stronger demand.
Factory data is slowing. Philly Fed manufacturing fell to 20.9 from 37.8 and missed the 28.2 forecast. Empire State rose to 25.5, so the picture is mixed.
Jobless claims stayed at 199K. The job market is not breaking, so nothing is forcing the Fed to hold off.
Yesterday CPI rose 3.7% against 3.6% expected, and the odds of a hike on October 28 jumped to 54% from 20.7%.
Today's PPI also adds to that.
Inflation is accelerating at the producer level while real spending and factory growth are cooling. A hike adds pressure on growth. Waiting lets inflation run higher.
That is the trap the Fed is in.

ONE OF BIGGEST VARIANT PERCEPTION IN MARKETS IMO:
Austerity now won't work either, because we didn't do it in 1987, 1994, 1998, 2000, or 2008 (wasn't an option in 2020 either.)
Now, if we do austerity, we trigger not just recession, but debt collapse, banking system collapse, & risk hyperinflation v. gold. Here's the math:
Last 3 recessions US saw deficits rise 600-1000 bps of GDP. IE austerity-driven recession would send US deficit to 13-17% of GDP.
That's bad enough, but the USD would rise on US austerity...
...which means foreigners, US banks, US pensions, & US hedge funds would be FORCED by stronger USD to sell USTs (as foreigners are short $13-14t in USD-denominated debt, while stronger USD drives weaker growth worldwide)...
....that selling combined would likely add ~$1-2T to the effective deficit, or 4-7% of GDP...
So austerity-driven US recession would drive US deficit to (13-17%) + (4-7%) = 17-25% of GDP, or a bigger deficit than WW2...
...into a recession, where there ARE no buyers left but the Fed (recession in a levered system de-grosses savings, it does not grow savings.)
So either the Fed funds a 17-25% of GDP US deficit with freshly-printed USDs, or else rates skyrocket...in a recession.
Rates skyrocketing would blow up the collateral underpinning the entire western banking system - basically 1q23 on steroids.
If that happens, either the Fed does BTFP on steroids (buys the USTs with freshly printed USDs) or we get the biggest US bank run since the Great Depression and banking system collapses, or regulators do away with all bank capital regulations to avoid them taking UST losses (aka Fed QE done through the banks like in Apr-2020 w/SLR exemptions).
Rates spiking would also send US govt interest expense > US receipts, which then means either the US govt nominally defaults on those USTs or prints the money just to pay the interest on the debt, which would ALSO undermine the banking system's collateral (AND is a technical definition of hyperinflation).
This is why i cannot help but laugh at western investors that sell gold on rising US rates or rising US real rates with the US debt & fiscal situation as it is.
I get monthly or quarterly mandate realities, but selling gold on rising US rates or reals show that consensus still does NOT understand the severity of the situation we are in yet.
We are seeing a total failure of MMT around the globe.
QE and deficit spending (after 2008 and during COVID) was basically an attempt at Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). In a nutshell, MMT says that we can print and deficit spend at will without any fiscal or economic complications.
So, central banks held interest rates at zero, forcing markets to accept absurdly low rates. At the same time, these central banks printed massive amounts of money and absorbed a lot of this new debt themselves.
MMTers said we could do this with no inflation. Clearly they were wrong. Friedman taught us exactly what would happen, and it did. Inflation took off. The result, central banks were forced to raise rates and stop expanding their balance sheets.
So far, governments have resisted fiscal sanity and are still running massive deficits even though central banks stopped funding them.
The result? In the past 3 months, 10-year bond yields are up 50 bps in the UK, 90 bps in France, 72 bps in the US, and more than 40 bps in Germany.
Governments were already too big in 2008, but this crazy experiment over the past 18 years has pushed things toward a breaking point.
France proposes to freeze government pay and pensions, and raise some taxes and we should expect more movement toward austerity in other countries soon.
MMT is basically Keynesianism on steroids. It didn’t work. The fix is a revival of Austrian, supply-side economics. Smaller governments, lower tax rates, tighter money, and less regulation. Some will say this is a pipe dream. But it is the only way out.
🔥🎯
If it is not already obvious, my new years resolution is to stop tolerating a-holes that make hate filled or ignorant assertions. Anyone that wants to engage in a conversation using arguments or facts, is welcome.
If however, you say stupid shit for the purpose of making yourself feel good, I will call you out or mute you...
This is true on topics, like the 4 year cycle, or Bitcoin is a ponzi or nonsense that the dollar is a stable currency, but especially true for useful idiots or raging racists that spew absurd claims such as a defensive war =s genocide (despite HAMAS reporting a population increase in 2025) or that the "Palestinians" aren't dedicated to killing millions of Jews.
Enjoy the theater...
