Dr. Wu worked on the manhattan project and performed the critical experiment talked about in this video. Her work on nuclear physics is being honored with a @USPS stamp. Send some letters with her face! Thanks for the heads up @jadabird vm.tiktok.com/ZMeJ7wffs/

Of the 7 key papers for the @NobelPrize in physiology or medicine, only 1 of them is available without a subscription. This is a problem.

Yes! Yes! Yes!
Most common issues I see in scientific writing: - Doesn’t explain why the problem is important. - No clear takeaway message. (How would the reader explain it to a colleague?) - Sentences too long/complex. - Doesn’t offer intuition for results. - Over-stated conclusions.
This is heartbreaking. I hope that this University doesn't use this "offering" a position to a woman as an excuse to hire yet more white males with the phrase "Well we offered the position to diverse candidates, but the offer wasn't accepted. What can we do about that?"

My PhD education did not help me sew these masks, but my middle school education came in clutch Special shout out to my dusty back-of-the-closet sewing machine that my Dad bought me for Valentine's day 15 years ago ❤️ #thursdayvibes #Covid_19 #nycshutdown
