For the first time in 35+ yrs, our emergency shelter & transitional housing have been completely shut down due to burst pipes & power loss. If you are currently in a position to help, we ask that you make a donation; our needs are critical and immediate: genesisshelter.org/donate

we need to emphasize that the reason you all are able to send cash, in-kind donations, and support to freezing people otg in TX is because organizers had ALREADY been building that infrastructure. Mutual aid was happening before the crisis, not in response to it.

This is getting a lot of fucking attention. So, I’m going to shamelessly share my #streetmedic org’s Venmo, and ask if y’all can help fund our unhoused outreach project that we’ve just started with @feedtheppldfw, @siwycdtx, @DTXStopsEvictns, and other local orgs.

Another successful outreach trip to Camp Rhonda with @feedtheppldfw, @siwycdtx, @LatinxDFW, and @DTXStopsEvictns! We have some requests for pairs of reading glasses and a walker with a seat, if anyone locally can help us with that.
