Really, this case is a perfect example of the gravity of Congress's failure to produce serious district court reform once it became clear that Democratic lawfare was going to be the primary means of thwarting the agenda Trump was elected to implement. (Around 1/21/2025.)

If there were any thoughts that DOJ's disqualification motion or the public attacks by President Trump would change Judge Reyes' approach to this case ... dispel them.

Sort of a shout into the void, but as rallies get canceled and CENTCOM chiefs prowl around DC, it needs to be said: Using Vance's overtures as cover for another round of strikes would burn one of the last diplomatic face cards we have in the hand. It'd be very shortsighted.

Wake up, Irish, I have come to explain how it’s still possible for a school in Indiana to win a football championship.
I think I would trust the campaign manager of a local Democrat rival more than just about anyone on something like this. Who’s more likely to have the inside track on the local grapevine?
One would think that the Jesuits would have found time in the last 486 years to peruse the Acts of the Apostles, busy as they have been.
The failure of Congress to reform the judiciary during the first two years of the Second Administration has been the most significant failure of that period. The Republic was not supposed to be run by district judges.
One wonders whether the USCCB could have had more influence on the Administration by not squandering their political capital on stuff like this over the last two years.
U.S. bishops are opposing proposed Census Bureau rule changes for the 2030 census, arguing that excluding noncitizens without lawful permanent resident status from the apportionment count would effectively deny them recognition as persons.

Seventy pages of the worst “I dissent” nonsense for at least five Supreme Court justices to say there was never any standing. Your tax dollars hard at work!
Just in: Judge Ana Reyes blocked the Trump admin from cutting down or damaging trees on the East Potomac Park golf course while litigation continues.
The court "does not speak for the trees," she wrote, referencing the Lorax, "only for the rule of law." storage.courtlistener.com/re…

This view is going to be repeated ad nauseum by the neverTrumpers over the next 2 years.
No one cares about tariffs, or any of the BS that tickles their balls, but we do care about immigration and that will be the fault line.

The Sisters of Charity have a median age of 87 years old. No one has joined the community since the 1990s. It's just a bunch of leftist elderly women in pants. It will cease to exist in 10-20 years.
They can safely be ignored.
NEW: An order of New York nuns founded in 1817 has rebuked the bishops who laid hands on President Trump 12 days before the midterms.
“Images carry messages,” the Sisters of Charity wrote. “Silence carries messages, too.”
The nuns have a powerful ally in Pope Leo XIV, who has put women at the center of his leadership. They now run three Vatican dicasteries, a larger share than in Trump’s cabinet. thelettersfromleo.com/p/new-…

Batya’s real problem is Vance’s foreign policy. She’s just too dishonest to say so. That’s why she is going after Vance instead of Trump for doing the same exact thing. Just like she railed against Vance and not Trump when Trump announced a ceasefire with Iran.
When Vivek Ramaswamy put out his disgusting ad, many Republicans denounced it, thankfully proving themselves unwilling to roll around in the mud with him.
But not everyone! VP Vance was more disgusted with his principled colleagues than with using the rape of a child for political gain. President Trump too defended the ad, calling it brave.
He is wrong. It is debased to defend it.
There just has to be a level beneath which we are not willing to sink.
