1 year ago, I wanted to play GeoGuessr. But it was behind a paywall, and I was too cheap to pay. So I thought, screw it. I'll make my own. Today, GeoDuels has 23k players, hundreds of maps, and even tournaments. And it's still 100% free. Here's how it all happened 🧵

I installed iOS 16.5 on OnePlus 8. Although it is not a fully fledged iOS experience, it does have most of the basic stuff working.

I think i just created the ultimate Duolingo, Quizlet, and Anki killer. It has everything you need to learn anything… … and it’s free💀 Should I also make a YouTube video so it explodes even more?

a new thing I've been building for all the Apple Music users out there : it will allow you to control other devices playing (kinda like Spotify Connect) both ways and play currently playing music on another device

Or could I? Browsers don't let you hide Google's stuff, but extensions do. So I literally made an extension with one job: hide street names. And added two ranked modes: - Moving with street names (for everyone) - No Move without street names (with the extension) ez $$$ saved

And that's GeoDuels today. Amazing community, tons of features (not vibecoded btw) And most importantly, it's still 100% free. I built it because I wanted a free GeoGuessr, just like you. If that sounds like your kind of game, give it a try ❤️ geoduels.io
