We’re sorry today to bring you news which will disappoint some witches, witches. This is we’re probably not going to post on Facebook or Insta again for at least a week or two, maybe longer. We may still tweet depending on the topic, but won’t be publishing our regular longer-form FB or Insta reporting. The reason is we’re currently involved in or tangentially part of not one but two court cases, one of which has already started. And while in neither case are we a direct party to the proceedings or even (at this stage) witnesses, the people who want us gone are using these court cases to try to do immense damage to our reputation and/or operations. While we can’t give much away about how these haters might harm us via these legal cases, the short explanation is they’ve been trying their best to have us held in contempt of court or have our past actions misinterpreted in ways which might make us appear implicated in wrongdoing. There are already many horrific and untrue mocked-up comments and posts purporting to come from MFW circulating (we posted on a couple of these a few weeks ago, but there are dozens more), and many rumours swirling about our past actions (including at least two podcast episodes which have openly lied about MFW’s actions this year). We’re sorry this explanation is vague and probably less than satisfactory, but it’s the best we can do without making this serious situation worse. The only solution we see (and believe us, we’ve been looking for alternative answers for some weeks) is to stop posting on our two main platforms for a bit, so we can monitor the situation more carefully and try to combat the lies more efficiently. We understand it’s a bad time to slow down or stop. Thanks to both the current deluge of Manosphere shit and the example set by the rapist in the White House, our advocacy and campaigns are needed ATM more than ever. But since our recent incredible successes have made us even more of a target to attack, we’re regularly now required to moderate our activities to keep MFW safe and effective longer-term. We were hoping to have started a brilliant new campaign by now, but these legal issues and their accompanying problems are consuming our time and attention, and this may continue for a while. Trust us: as soon as we can say more and/or get going on our campaigns full steam ahead again, we will. Finally, we badly need your ongoing support, enthusiasm and solidarity now more than ever, and with it we’ll be back shortly causing even more witchy mayhem and accountability for the misogynist arsewipes who hate us because they haven’t yet found a way to destroy us.
