#topoli #onpoli Further to this, Canadian govts, both federal & provincial, built social housing for decades, until those programs were axed in the late 80s/early 90s. Just as @oliviachow's prop tax hike is making up for lost ground, govts have to get back into building housing.

This is Prissa. She showed me the tarp she is living under in Edmonton last night in -33 weather. She said she and her boyfriend keep warm with candles while huddling underneath.
