Visited the great staff at the California School for the Deaf in Fremont. Our team there and in Riverside provide exceptional ASL education and supports for students. Our schools have openings for students and staff.

What a horrific thing for our commander in chief to say about people who sacrificed their lives for our country.

Great day at the Davis Joint Unified School District. We provided millions in grants used by the district to lead amazing work such as establishing transitional kindergarten classes and aftercare centers, and a robotics training facility for their award winning robotics team.

Thanks to our food distribution center staff in Sacramento and Pomona. Truck drivers & warehouse workers delivering for every district - 800 million meals served last school year. Proud to visit the Sacramento Center today and to sponsor CA’s universal school meals legislation.

Great day with the students, parents, and staff at the Salinas Union High School District. Welcoming in a new school year and complementing their great work in Community Schools and CTE programs.

I have been enthralled with a now six-part saga on Instagram of a parents group chat in which one Mom is asking the other Moms not to send Oreos in their kids’ lunches because she doesn’t allow her daughter to eat Oreos.
It’s incredible.

Great day visiting at Tracy Elementary in the Baldwin Park Unified School District. The District took the grants we provided for coaches and training and made great gains in literacy. Well done!

Congratulations to Xavier Beccera on his impressive primary election victory in the race to become California’s Governor. Mr. Becerra has had a remarkable and devoted 35 year public service career and I will be working hard to help him get elected in November! Let’s all Vote Xavier Becerra for Governor!

Replying to @GiveDirectly
@GiveDirectly has sent $1 billion in cash directly to people in extreme poverty. Their model has no middle man and study after study shows it works. Any billionaire could call them tomorrow and help pull an entire country out of poverty. For some, it would cost about a year in the stock market. I’m honestly baffled: why is there not a single billionaire who just makes the call to @NickAllardice, GiveDirectly’s CEO? Instead, they fund vanity projects and call it philanthropy. The solutions exist but the ambition is pointed in the wrong direction.

Earlier this week I was honored to host and recognize 11 California students who have written books. We organized this effort amd a live how to webinar as part of our strengthen literacy effort and invited experts who can help other students strengthen their writing. The students attend grades 5 through 12 and they were articulate, well written, and inspiring. Proud of our students, their educators, and their families.

The total amount this man will steal from us—remembering that he just stole $10 billion for his private Board of Peace—will easily top $100 billion by the end, and possibly $500 billion

A federal judge just ruled that videos of DOGE staffers must stay up — and they are devastating.
Under oath, they couldn't define DEI. They admitted they never reduced the deficit. And they wiped out $100 million in humanities grants — including a Holocaust documentary — using ChatGPT.
The regime tried to bury this. It didn't work.

What a fucking embarrassment. American troops are being sent into harm’s way in Iran and this fucking idiot is doing his double jerkoff dance while waving a sword, like a drunk uncle at a wedding.
This is who has the nuclear codes. America is a parody.

Every day I watch the chaos in this country and think about how many people got it completely wrong on Joe Biden, especially Democrats and the media.
Democrats turned on him and bought into a manufactured narrative, while the press trashed stability, mocked experience, and helped normalize a convicted felon… and now act like none of it happened.
A lot of people owe him an apology.
Anyone else feel this anger? 🤷

🚨 BREAKING: An American oil tanker has been targeted and decimated in the Persian Gulf — hours after Trump told tankers to “show some guts” and enter the Strait.
An American ship.
Trump told them to go.
They went.
Iran was waiting.
This is not a policy failure. This is not a miscalculation.
The President of the United States told American civilian mariners to sail into an active war zone — against the advice of every intelligence agency, every shipping authority, and every insurer on earth.
And an American ship is now destroyed.
Who was on that ship?
Trump told America to inject bleach.
Trump told tanker crews to show some guts.
People pay the price every time.
He moves on every time.
Not this time.

All this is happening while we give ICE billions more.
Over 330 hospitals will be forced to close or scale back services due to Republican legislation that ultimately guts $400 billion in critical funding, per @protectourcare.
