Representation is important because we can’t keep banging on about how multicultural and diverse our society is and having nothing to show for it. 🤷🏾♀️

I prefer being friends with involved parents. Who develop their child’s emotions and critical thinking. Send their kids to daycare able to recognize body parts, shapes, objects and colors. The ones who recognize when their child needs a little extra help and accommodates for it.

If you get the chance to rebuild your life in your 20's or 30's, don't spend the entire season trying to prove you've moved on. Actually move on. Build healthier habits, enjoy your own space and give yourself experiences that aren't connected to your past.

Lmao, I won’t be supporting this travesty anyway but this is such a skill issue bc wasn’t one of the selling points that the tv show was going to be closer to the books than the films were?

Y ojalá que siga bajando la tasa de natalidad mientras vivamos en una sociedad que no valora la maternidad, no protege a las infancias y no garantiza una vida digna para quienes ya existen...

I think there's also something to be said abt how representation can become a substitute for collective power. Ppl can become deeply invested in whether someone who looks like them succeeds within an institution without asking whether that institution has become any more accountable to the communities they represent

the women who can't be arsed to care about materially consequential feminism, are the same ones who are too cowardly to turn against the grain, are the same ones who model their own lives after the most recent social norms set by feminists before them.

Your hate is misdirected. You should hate your rulers for not providing safe and convenient public transportation. Everyone, whether poor or not, should have access to a convenient means of public transportation.

honestly no woman who has genuinely understood feminism has ever regretted it. if you think feminism is something women should feel embarrassed or regretful about, you probably never understood it in the first place. hope that helps.
I genuinely think a time will come when many women will regret supporting the version of feminism being glorified today.
And I’m not talking about equal rights, opportunities, or financial independence.
I’m talking about pseudo-feminism that teaches women they don’t need a man, compromising is weakness, making sacrifices is losing yourself, and that earning money means you should never have to adjust for anyone.
Where respecting your husband is called submission, putting effort into a relationship is considered desperate, and walking away is celebrated more than working things out.
And I think many women will realise how damaging this mindset was, perhaps in their late thirties or forties, when they look back and understand that they were taught to see partnership as a burden rather than something worth building.
I genuinely believe that day is not very far away.
Capitalism thrives bc you guys are quite eager to struggle. If her parents are happy to have her there, they don’t need the additional money, and she can probably buy a place without needing to rent first in the future, why is it anyone else’s issue?

A very vivid memory for me is in 6th grade (1996) my dad asked me whether I wanted to go to college and I said “OF COURSE I DO. I DON’T WANT TO BE A HOUSEWIFE!” My mom, a sahm, was in the room and my dad said “You should watch what you say around people you love… (cont)
