Recently, the District’s Mobile Communications Unit participated in a regional Crisis Negotiation Team training focused on the unique challenges of lengthy negotiations.
The all-day training specifically addressed the transition from one crisis negotiation team to another
during extended incidents. A smooth transition is critical to maintaining continuity, communication, and focus throughout a negotiation.
The Mobile Communications Unit can serve as a dedicated command post, providing a centralized location where crisis negotiators
and incident command staff can work together in a controlled environment.
Training alongside our regional partners helps ensure that our teams are prepared to support complex incidents and work seamlessly together when it matters most.

Don't be the spark that starts a wildfire.
Fireworks are illegal in Contra Costa County. Even a single spark can ignite dry grass, vegetation, or nearby structures, putting lives and homes at risk.
